Today I'm sharing a layout for A2Z Scraplets

My layout "Weekend Escape"

For this page I actually chose my chipboards first and then built the page around that.

Firstly the "Weekend Escape" chipboard.

Treated with black gesso.

Then these really great Camera Squares.

Which I've seperated and then covered with Colour Blast Embossing powder in "Envy" and Bling".

I'm really terrible at remembering to take photos of DH and I, but while we were away seeing the live show of Mrs Brown's Boys - I decided to snap a couple.

The background is so simple and all the items on the page come from my stash.

I just love how all the little cluster areas form interesting elements on the page.

--- Colour Blast DT --- "Smile" Scrapbook Layout + process video

Today I'm sharing a new project for Colour Blast

"Smile"

For this page I've used the following

Colour Spray Carribean

Colour Shimmer Spray Envy

Colour Embossing Powder Envy

Colour Paste Bling

Firstly, I've chosen this resist paper which I've sprayed with Colour Shimmer spray Envy.

Dry with paper towel and then add some thick drops of Colour Spray Carribean

Once the spray has dried naturally, I'm going to add some Colour Paste Bling through this stencil.
I chose bling because the paper collection I'm using has a neutral addition and I thought the "Bling" would bring it all together - that and it's so pretty!

I set the background aside to dry and used the Colour Embossing Powder Envy on my chipboard title.

One coat is suitable, but I like the coverage of two coats.

The rest of the layout is simply adding the paper layers and embellishments.

It's challenge time over at Scrapbook Boutique.



We'd love to see your creations inspired by our  moodboard - theme "Yellow".



Here is my layout "Little Things"

My inspiration came firstly from the colour - so I visited my stash to search for all things "Yellow"
I also really wanted to use the cotton elements, so included some hand stitching around the lower part of my page.

Some background stencilling, rug mesh and a little pop of Colour paste through a stencil to finish the page off.

Scrap the Boys - March challenge entry

Today I'm playing along with the challenge over at Scrap the Boys.

My layout "Bliss"

Each month I love to see all the challenge blogs and the new challenges.

This sketch really caught my eye so I got creating.

I gathered a few stash items and a series of photos. 

The green colours scheme developed because of the photos I chose.

   

Who doesn't love that new craft goodies feeling?

I'd just purchased this paper pad and the background with the arrows, worked so well for this layout.

It really turned out to be such a fun, easy page to complete.

And ... I did some stash busting too!

Today I'm sharing a layout for A2Z Scraplets

My layout "Can't live without"

This page is my inspiration piece for the March challenge.

So far for 2018 I've been focusing on stash busting. 

I love a challenge with a theme, because you can use what you have available.

This collection from Simple Stories was one of my favs a few years back so I dug it out and got creating.

I've teamed it with the

Can't live without title.

I've given it a light coat of Distress Ink so that it has a two tone effect, with the raw chipboard showing through.

Nrmally I would never put brown, red and yellow together but the collection combined those colours, so I figured "Why not?"

Today I'm sharing my tutorial project for
Off the Rails Scrapbooking.

This month's inspiration moodboard is all about Monochrome + colour.



I decided to create a page in my Art Journal.

I am really new to Art Journalling and decided to give it a go after seeing some creations by

Selena Stevens Art

Selena makes some amazing mixed media pieces.

I consider my Art Journal as a place to "Create" without the pressure to record a memory or use a photo.
I really have enjoyed my recent exploration of a totally different genre of craft.

So today for my tutorial at Off the Rails Scrapbooking,
I'm giving you a look into my Art Journal so far

and a simple technique video if you'd like to get started.

By the way, if your scared that an "Art Journal" has to be all about Art ...

don't worry that's how I felt, but really it is just another creative outlet and you can do whatever you please.

--- White with 1 CT --- March challenge reveal Scrapbook layout "You Rock"

Today I'm sharing my reveal project for the March colour over at 

White ... with 1.

How cute is the "Crisp Lettuce"?

Here's my page "You Rock"

I've been struggling to use this wood piece because I just love it and haven't found a page I liked enough to use it on.

I chose a  resist pattern paper and smudged some Distress Crayon onto the background.

I then added some splashes of black acrylic paint and some black cotton to highlight the background.

I took some inspiration from the lettuce image and made my page quite textural.

I love the results of the challenge that is White ... with 1 so I hope your keen to play along this month.
