Scrap the Boys - February Challenge - "My Foodie"

Hi Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing a February project for
Scrap the Boys

"My Foodie"

This month we were to be inspired by this moodboard

February 2019 Challenge

I also used the bonus cut file from

Recently my focus has been on multi photo layouts.
So I raided my printed photo stash and realised I had quite a few of Master C enjoying food!
So I combined them and I love how this one turned out!

I've used Colour Blast sprays on the cut file and mounted it with foam to add dimension.
Then I chose a patterned paper background but muted it with some heavy white gesso to help lift the cut file and the photos from the background.

Thanks for visiting.

Scrap the Boys August Challenge "Funday"

Hi Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing a layout created for the August challenge at
Scrap the Boys.

My layout "Funday"

This months inspiration was

When I also saw the cut file inspiration, I had an idea ...

Now mostly when my ideas start out, they end up nothing like what I imagined.
I'm pleased to say that this one did!

I cut the geo leaves first and then laid them on white cardstock.
I then used Colour Blast sprays and shimmer sprays over the top.
Once dry, I lifted the coloured leaves and laid them on the layout for dimension.

Surprisingly, I hadn't chosen a photo before starting the page. When I went through the photo stash, I found this one of Master Z hunting for easter eggs beneath a tree!
Couldn't believe it was just perfect!
Some paper layering and minimal embellishments really let the background shine.

I really feel like my mojo has been missing lately but I love how this one turned out.

Thanks for visiting.
Happy Scrapping.

--- Colour Blast DT --- "Awesome" Scrapbook Layout + process video

Hi Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing a new project for Colour Blast

"Awesome"

For this page I've used the following

Colour Spray Rainforest
Colour Shimmer Spray Apple of my eye
Colour Paste Just Blue

***

Firstly I've started with the Cocoa Vanilla Studio "Boys Rule" collection.
What a great Aussie company and teamed with Colour Blast = perfection!
Using a spatula, I'm just adding some Colour Paste Just Blue and allowing it to dry naturally.

While it's drying, I've cut a circle with my Cameo and then sprayed it with Colour Spray Rainforest and Colour Shimmer Spray Apple of my eye.
The two together create a lovely green shimmer!
I've dried this with the heat gun and I love the way the circle has kind of warped and has such a textured feel to it - I decided to leave it this way on the page.

I next went on and did some paper layering and fussy cut the title.

The background still needed something to help it POP!
So I went to my go to product - Black heavy gesso.

Once everything is dry, I've added the rest of the layers and some stickers.

Black gesso over colour paste gives a gorgeous effect and I can't wait to try this with the "Sunshine" paste.

The green sparkly textured circle is one of my favourite parts of the page and I'm looking forward to doing this again in the future.

You can see the whole process in the video below.

Scrap the Boys - July Challenge 'Hello" Scrapbook Layout

Hi Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing a new page created for
Scrap the Boys July challenge.

"Hello"

I just couldn't go past the star themed inpsiration this month.
I added the stars to the background with Colour Blast paste "Just Blue"
I love the big letter title and just for something a little different I created my cluster on the vertical instead of horizontal.

Thanks so much for visiting.

--- Off the Rails Scrapbooking DT --- July scrapbook Layout + process video

Hi Scrap Friends

It's July already and what better way to enjoy the start of a new month, than with a moodboard challenge.

I'm sharing my take on the Off the Rails Scrapbooking July moodboard.

My Layout "Making Memories"

This month we'd like you to embrace the cold and let it inspire your creation.

My first inspiration was to find a photo to scrap that really reflected the weather - this one of Master C with his hoody on, in black and white was perfect.

I then created a mixed media background on resist patterned paper to create similar colours to the moodboard.

Finally I've added some very neutral embellishments to keep in theme with the moodboard.

You can see the whole process in the video below.

Thanks for stopping by - happy Scrapping.

--- Scrapbook Boutique DT --- "Totally" Scrapbook Layout + process video

 Hi Scrap Friends

Today I've got a layout to share for Scrapbook Boutique

"# Totally"

I adore this collection from Kaisercraft and decided that even though I was scrapping a photo of Master Z, I wanted to make a more "pretty" layout - one that I could keep as a memory for myself.

In this case, it's the answers to the Mothers Day interview (which turned up some very interesting results ...)

--- Colour Blast DT --- "All the Good Things" Scrapbook Layout + process video

Hi Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing a new project for Colour Blast

"All the Good Things"

For this page, I've taken my inspiration from the awesome A2Z Scraplets chipboard arrow frames.

I also wanted to showcase one of my favourtie colour combinations - blue + yellow = green!

For this page I've used the following

Colour Spray Carribean
Colour Spray Saffron
Colour Embossing Powder SunshineApple of my eye and Just Blue
Colour Artist Ink Soot

***

Normally I start by working on my layout and I do like a horizontal page.
So to challenge my creativity I decided to work vertically.
I layed out the photos and the chipboard pieces down either side of my page.

I knew that my colour combo was going to be blue, yellow and green so I embossed each chipboard piece a different colour using the Colour Embossing Powder SunshineApple of my eye and Just Blue.

I started with a white 12x12 cardstock background - no gesso required.
I used sprays Colour Spray Carribean and Saffron by spraying them onto packaging then smudging onto the layout.
While the spray is still wet, repeat with the alternate colour and they combine to make the three colours.

The background just needed something a little more, so I searched through my stash and came across this arrow stencil.
Then I added some splatters of Colour Artist Ink Soot.

I'd already selected the large title and kept the embellishing very minimal.
