--- A2Z Scraplets DT --- "Can't live without" Scrapbook layout - Pets Challenge March

Hi Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing a layout for A2Z Scraplets

My layout "Can't live without"

This page is my inspiration piece for the March challenge.

Image may contain: dog and text

So far for 2018 I've been focusing on stash busting.
I love a challenge with a theme, because you can use what you have available.

This collection from Simple Stories was one of my favs a few years back so I dug it out and got creating.

I've teamed it with the
I've given it a light coat of Distress Ink so that it has a two tone effect, with the raw chipboard showing through.

Nrmally I would never put brown, red and yellow together but the collection combined those colours, so I figured "Why not?"

Scrapbooking Top 50 Aus November Challenge - "Stay Gold"

Hi Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing a layout inspired by the November challenge at

My Layout "Stay Gold"

This month we had a super fun sketch to play with.

No automatic alt text available.

Which I decided to rotate as I'd just printed these cute photos from Dreamworld.

To make the background, I started with white cardstock and freestyle drew my star with distress crayon and then smudged with my finger.

I cut the inner of the star and backed it with star patterned paper.

The yellow inspiration came from the Charms Creations heart.

Thanks for visiting.
Happy crafting!

--- White ... with 1 CT --- November challenge reveal

Hi Scrap Friends

Don't you just love the start of the month, when all the new challenges are revealed?

Today I'd like to share my page for white ... with 1

"Great Day"

Fabulous colour this month and great moodboard too.

"Pineapple Dream"

Image may contain: food

I had this awesome triangle stamp, so decided to create a resist background.
First stamping with embossing ink then coating with clear embossing powder.

Then I've painted on some Colour Blast shimmer dust in "Sunflower"
and allowed the colour to run down the page.

Some stamping, more triangles of paper in the form of a banner.
A few pineapple embellishments and cute photos to finish the page!

Thanks for visiting.
I look forward to seeing your creations.

Happy Crafting.

Scrap Around the World August Mixed Media Scrapbook Layout

Hello Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing a layout I created taking inspiration from
Scrap Around the World August Moodboard.

"Discover"

My inspiration came immediately from the beach picture.
Living in regional Queensland means that a trip to the beach is a real treat.
I had the perfect photo of Master Z looking cool at his first trip to the beach.
I started with a lovely brown palette as per the colours of the mood board but found as I progressed with my layout that it was looking a little dull.
I added some colour and instantly felt better about the layout.
The title "Discover" was perfect.

Lots of elements formed this layout.

Fantastic papers from the "Thoughts Keeper" range from 7 Dots Studio.

Layers of Ink, modelling paste, stamping, Gesso & mists.
Some cheese clothe, twine and a touch of sparkle.

Thanks for visiting.

Kaisercraft August sketch challenge Scrapbook Layout

Hello Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing a layout that is very special to me.

In November 2014 I lost a very dear friend that was like a second mother
to me and helped our family so much by caring for our twins.

She was taken very suddenly by a car accident and left a huge void in so many lives.

This is the only picture I have of this wonderful lady and
I have been unable to scrapbook it until now.

Here is the layout "Bev"

This is inspired by the August Kaisercraft Sketch.

Kaisercraft products used:

Art of Life Paper and collectables, Oh so Lovely paper

This layout was inspired by all those fabulous colours. Green, red, yellow & stone.

I've started with some freehand gesso and then layered modelling paste, inks, washi tape and paper.

Final touches include some great Imaginarium Chipboard and Charms.

Here are some close ups.

Check back in at the end of July to see my video tutorial and layout
using the second moodboard from Off the Rails Scrapbooking.
