Hi Scrap Friends
Today I'm sharing a layout for the January challenge at
The inspiration image, really challenged me.
The scene made me think of winter ... so I chose a photo of Master Z wrapped up in his dressing gown.
The story of the dressing gown is documented on the page ...
While on a visit to Nan's house, the twins discovered the grey cat next door.
He's big, fluffy, grey and very friendly... His name is Ralphy.
Not sure how it started but now their dressing gowns are called "Ralphy's"
I've included the colours of the scene - focusing on the yellow.
To match the other colours - I've used Distress Crayons.
The chipboard circular frame is from A2Z Scraplets.
To finish I've added some background stamping, some inking through stencil and embellished with flowers, die cuts and a tag.
Thanks for visiting.
Happy Scrapping.
What a great take on the challenge, Louise. I love the overall design with that piece of wood grain paper anchoring everything. I also love how you made yellow the focus colour. It's happy and cheery. The stamped houses and triangles give interest to the background. Fun layering of elements around the photo. What's not to love. Thank you for playing with us at CSI.
ReplyDeleteLove your page Louise, the colours, textures and layers, but most of all I love the Ralphy story. Great job.

ReplyDeleteLove this - your layers and those pops of yellow are perfect! Mostly though, I love the story behind the photo.
