Over at Off the Rails Scrapbooking on Facebook we have a fabulous "recycle" moodboard inspiration for you.

My recycle element is the cut file in the background.

I used an old scrapbooking  magazine cover!

I'm so pleased to be sharing inspiration for 

Here is my layout
"Zed"



The inspiration for this page was the Mixed Media Kit featuring the fabulous Colour Blast Artists Inks in "Citrus", "Marine" and "Sunburnt".

I decided that I wanted to make a water colour background, but I didn't want it to be solid colour.
So I took some old washi tape and taped off sections of white cardstock.

I then added the artists inks firstly in Citrus and Sunburnt, sprayed with water and dried with heat gun.
I left it overnight to make sure it was completely dry then repeated the process with Marine and Citrus.

After it dried, I removed the washi tape and got this awesome stripey background.

I decided to trim it and mount it on  black cardstock.

The rest of the page is just layering embellishments with some stitching and a couple of black ink splatters to finish it off.

Here is my inspiration for you
"Cake"

The inspiration for this page came from the cute baking embellishments on the sticker sheet.
I chose these super cute photos of Master C "licking the beaters". I love his face and the little smudge of cake batter on his nose.

Master C's favourite colour is green, so I focused on that as my main colour with some small pops of pink to help draw the mix master sticker into the layout.

 

I think the title and the chipboard sticker are just spot on.
"Today I am happy because ... Cake!"

In the background I've used some glitter paste through the stencil in the Mixed Media kit.

Also on this page you'll actually find some of the packaging that the embellishments came in - don't forget to keep some of the pretty "rubbish" to use on your pages.

We recently spent a weekend at Woodgate Beach and I really wanted to scrap these photos of my boys at the beach - the brights of this collection are perfect!

--- A2Z Scraplets DT --- "Dream Believe" Scrapbook Layout

Today I'm sharing a layout for A2Z Scraplets

My layout "Dream Believe"

This page features the "Dream, Believe" chipboard.

I've left it raw and then sprayed it with the Colour Blast "Indigo" spray.

This has given it a more "Navy" feel rather than Indigo because of the raw chipboard.

I've also used the Swirly Frame chipboard.

Simply coated with white gesso and Colour Blast embossing powder "Snow White".

I've used the My Minds Eye "Blush" collection for this layout.

The background paper had a coat of clear gesso, then I added lots of splatters using different size brushes of Colour Blast shimmer spray in "Steel"

A little bit of background stamping, some journalling and stickers finish this layout nicely!

Scrap the Boys - January challenge - Flowers "Hello, Hello"

Today I'm sharing a scrapbook layout for

Scrap the Boys January challenge.

My layout "Hello Hello"



This months challenge is to use "Flowers on a boys page"



Easy right?

I started with floral patterned paper, but dampened it down with some white gesso.
Then added some Distress Ink through a flower stencil.
I've used flower paper in my cluster and of course ...

Paper flowers!

I don't particularly love this page - I think it's got too much going on and I much prefer the clean style scrapping, but I've recorded the memory and played along at STB.

Today I'm sharing my page for the January 2018 challenge at
White ... with 1

"My Kinda Day"

Not only is this month a fabulous colour but an awesome inspiration image.

The rug jumped out to me right away.

I started with white cardstock - of course!

Then coloured the page with Colour Blast shimmer dust "Navy"

 

I chose this photo which had a blue feel but included some pops of colour.

I made a small cluster from blue/navy embellishments and include some wood veneer pieces and title which I think helps break the page up a little.

Today I'm sharing a page created for the December challenge at 

Artastic Challenge blog.

My layout "Adore that face"

This month the team challenged us to Scraplift one of the Design Teams favourite pages. 

There was some really awesome pages to chose from, but this one from Tone, really stood out to me.

I've created my background with Colour Blast Sprays and the packaging technique.

Other elements on this page are from a recent Kitaholic Kits grab bag!

With so much inspiration from the DT, I may just have to lift a couple of the other pages.

I really enjoyed having the thought taken away and simply copying someone elses page.

My layout "Cute, Cheeky, You"

I've used the

Twig Square frame

and given it a coat of Colour Blast embossing powder in "Envy"

Other elements on this page are from the Kaisercraft "Daydreamer" collection.

No mixed media background but I've added some white and black splatters - leaving the elements to speak for themselves on this page.
