Monochrome + one colour.

Here is my layout "Christmas"

So, in thinking about monochrome + one colour I thought about my favourite - turquoise and then I thought yellow but we did a yellow challenge last month.
What's my next favourite colour "Red"!
And red is not a colour that I often scrap with.
It's also an awesome way to get some of my Christmas Memories recorded.

So for this page, I started with the recent Kaisercraft "Christmas Edition" collection - featuring a lovely neutral palette.
I've then coloured the background with Distress Crayons.
Looking back on the layout ... maybe I should have coloured the leaves "green" but I do like the pops of red.

Kraft + April challenge - "Love ya" scrapbook layout

Today I'm sharing my layout created for the April challenge at Kraft +.

My Layout 'Love Ya"

I haven't joined in with Kraft + for a little while.

Truth ... I find the idea of Kraft background very challenging.

Something about this month's challenge though made me want to create!

 

So I pulled out some Kraft cardstock and gathered some supplies.

Something Old - Ribbon and fabric washi

Something New - Gold thickers title

Something Borrowed - The stamped flowers came from my crafty friend Therese

Something Blue - I created my striped background with Colour Blast Paste "Singin the Blues"

I chose a photo from my stash - the black and white really lets the layout shine and like the journalling says "I just heart that sweet face".

Today I've got a layout to share for Scrapbook Boutique 

This page is very special.
The fabulous Therese from Lost in Paper has joined me on this project.

Therese has kindly made these beautiful floral creations and posted them to me.

We wanted to collaborate on a project to show you what could be achieved ...

Here is the finished page:

When Therese's packaged arrived, I'd already started working on this page.
I felt like the colours and the florals really helped highlight the page.

This paper collection is "Wild & Fancy" from DCWV.

The collection has some lovely foil highlights.

This was the perfect opportunity for me to dig out the "Minc" machine and add some foil to my page.

The floral embellishments are from the Altenew "Floral Arrangement" stamp set.

Today I've got a layout to share for Scrapbook Boutique 

"Yay!"

I started with the wonderful Kaisercraft "Christmas Edition" collection.



I love the neutral papers and how subtle they are.

I've teamed it up with a wreath cut file.

I've also blinged up the background (see what I did there :)

with some Colour Blast paste in "Bling".

Other elements on the page are the super cute "Dazzles Stickers".
