Wow, January has really snuck out from under me. 

I've been totally slack with my challenges this month. 

Bring on February.

Managed to finish a quick take on the My Creative Sketches January sketch.

Layout "Trouble"

I attached the papers before applying a thin layer of gesso to give it a more muted look. Then I stitched around the papers - leaving the ends of the stitching on the layout.

I also wanted to do a boys layout without including a floral embellishment - harder than it sounds. 

I was super tempted to add some flowers. But overall I'm pretty happy with the layout.

Scrapbook Layout Tutorial - White with 1 & Sketchabilities January - Placid Blue

Hello fellow scrappers. This blog post brings my first ever video tutorial.

I decided to do this as I love watching other peoples short tutorial layouts, so thought I would have a go at doing one of my own.

Flourish with a Bling January Sketch

I have finally had a chance to play along at Flourish with a Bling this month. The sketch offers so much opportunity to individualize the layout.

D-Lish Scraps January Mood Board

I was instantly struck by the bright, vibrant colours of the D-Lish January mood board and picked out the perfect photo of Master C chomping down on his first "real" food.

I used the colours of the mood board and added some straws for dimension. I titled my page "Heart Fruit" in line with the Tutti Frutti theme.
