123 Challenge Blog March - Scrapbook Layout "Fun in the Sun"

Hi Scrap Friends

I'm on a roll this month.
Today's share is a layout for the March challenge at

"Fun in the Sun"

I struggle with this challenge as I'm not sure how much of the requirements I have to include.

So my layout is in various shades of brown/kraft.
I've created borders from paper and washi and my title includes the word "Fun".

No mixed media today as I'm loving the CAS (Clean & Simple) style.

Thanks for visiting.

Stuck?! sketches March sketch challenge - Scrapbook Layout

Hi Scrap Friends

I instantly fell in love with the Stuck?! Sketch this month.

My Layout "Captured This"

I really liked this sketch and knew that I had to scrap it.

I've used the delicious Shimelle "Little by Little" collection.

Seriously... that 12x12 paper pad has 48 pages!!!!!!
It is so thick and full of fabulous patterns and images!
Love it.

I've used the sketch as inspiration. I rotated it slightly to give my page interest and cropped the corners.
I also went with squares instead of square on circle clusters :)

D-Lish Scraps - March JAP Kit moodboard challenge scrapbook layout

Hi Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing my take on the March inspiration board at D-Lish Scraps

Such a feminine moodboard - it was instantly a challenge for me.

I stretched the colours a little bit and ignored the sketch because I had these photos that I wanted to create a page about. This is me with my workmates on a recent work gathering (relaxing at dinner).

I seriously loved the little beads in the JAP kit this month.
I spread gel medium onto the page with a spatula and then poured the beads over the top.
Messy but fun!

Kaisercraft March sketch challenge Scrapbook Layout "Perfect" + process video

Hi Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing a new layout.
This one created for the March sketch challenge at Kaisercraft.

My Layout "Perfect"

I can't decide if I love this layout or think it's too busy?

This month we had a sketch to work with.

The "Wildflower" collection is one of my favourites!
Full of delicious water colour patterns and that turquoise = fabulous!

One day I dream of being part of the Kaisercraft Design Team, so I decided to create a process video for this creation.

I hope you enjoy ...

Thanks so much for visiting.

Scrapbooking Top 50 Aus - March moodboard challenge layout

Hi Scrap Friends

Today's share is a layout for the March challenge at

"Lovely"

Inspiration this month came from this moodboard

I recently went to a weekend crop and this was one of the challenges I completed.

My colouring is a little off as I printed the moodboard to take with me and the turquoise looked more blue.
Thought I would still share it as I love the way the black and white photo pops off the coloured background.

I created it by first giving my papers a coat of clear gesso, then used the packaging technique to apply the blue and then filled in the gaps with yellow distress crayon - freestyled and then smudged with my finger.

Scrap the Girls March challenge - scrapbook layout "Joy"

Hi Scrap Friends

Today I'm getting a chance to play along with
March challenge.

My layout "Joy"

I normally don't have that many girl photos (being the only female in my family) but this month's challenge was perfect.

My background is made with this Nuvo mousse

It's my new favourite medium, so far I've used it with a clothe, through a stencil, for paint splatters, on foam thickers and on this layout spread freehand with a spatula!
Loving how versatile it is!!!

This layout also features some hand stitching and some cut files.

I seem to be using turquoise or yellow as my go to colours at the moment.
Must try to challenge myself more!
What's your go to colour?
