Sassy Scrappers October Mood Board - "Pink" supporting Breast Cancer

This month's mood board is very close to my heart, with both a family member and workmate experiencing breast cancer recently.

Best of all, Sassy Scrappers are donating $1.00 to Breast Cancer research for every mood board entry this month.

I don't often scrap with pink being that I have a house full of males but enjoyed making a more feminine layout of my husband and I from my 30th birthday celebrations at our local race day.

I was inspired to use ribbon, as the pink ribbon is a huge part of breast cancer fundraising.

Here is the mood board:

Scrap Around the World - October Mood Board

Such a pretty mood board from Scrap Around the World this month.

My inspiration this month was the butterfly, followed closely by the beautiful purple, blue and aqua colours. I don't often scrap photos of myself but as I thought of the caterpillar emerging as a butterfly, I wanted to dedicate this page to myself.

"Fly"

Materials:

Black cardstock, Creative Memories paper, modelling paste, Cricut cut stencil, Ruby Rock-it flower, Kaisercraft flowers and rhinestones, Little Birdie chalk butterflies, Kaiser "Violet" home made spray, Merci metallic leaves, Sequins

A Personal Share - Mixed Media layout

Every so often I start out with a layout that I feel very underwhelmed by. This layout has been sitting on my desk unfinished for over a week and I haven't felt drawn to finish it. I found myself with half an hour to spare so proceeded to revisit this particular LO.

I'm not sure how, but it turned into something I'm actually quite proud of. The random layering is very unlike my normal style but I feel it actually works.

Materials:

Creative Memories papers & white cardstock, Modelling paste, home made Kaisercraft spray "Sea Breeze", washi tape, stamped accents, twine, Kaisercraft pocket stickers, black pen, buttons and Creative Memories stickers
