--- White ... with 1 CT --- October Pink Whisper reveal - Scrapbook Layout "Beautiful"

Hi Scrap Friends

I love the 1st of the month when all the new challenges go live.

This one is for
White ... with 1

My Layout "Beautiful"

This month we are challenging you with a delightful
"Pink Whisper"

October in Australia is Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Here is a friendly reminder to be vigilant regarding your health and take care of yourself.

For my layout this month, I've had to dig deep for something pink.
I managed to find some papers and embellishments and created a simple layered page.

I've used Gelato on my background and hand drawn the hearts in pink & silver.

Don't forget if you still need inspiration, we have a sketch to play along with too.

Thanks for visiting.
Happy Scrapping.

--- A2Z Scraplets DT --- Kraft Guest DT December challenge "Our Home"

Hi Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing a layout for A2Z Scraplets

This month I got to play along with Kraft + challenges

My layout "Our Home"

Inspired by this month's moodboard challenge:

This challenge came at the perfect time.
I've been meaning to update our household pictures for awhile but they keep getting pushed to the back of the queue.

Deb has some awesome home inspired chippies in the store.
I've used

The Our home is treated with embossing powder in "Steel" and "Royalty".
I've applied it in different layers to give the blended look.

The house set got a coat of gesso and then coloured with Tim Holtz Distress crayons.

I have an extra pack of the House set small so if you are the first person to comment on this post (in Australia) I'll post them to you and you can use them in the Kraft + challenge this month.

Thanks for visiting.
Happy Scrapping.

--- A2Z Scraplets DT --- "Picture Perfect" Scrapbook Layout

Hi Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing a layout for A2Z Scraplets

"Picture Perfect"

I just love this title but found it very hard to find a photo/s to use with it.

You can find "Picture Perfect" chipboard here

To achieve this chipboard look, follow the steps below:

- Cover chipboard with gesso
- Starting at the top, apply different colour gelatos (I used green, blue and turquoise) in an ombre effect
- smudge the colours with your finger so that they blend
- repeat with more colour until desired effect is achieved
- cover chipboard with clear embossing powder to seal

The background of this page is:

- white and silver acrylic paint spread with an old reward card
- Liquitex glass bead gel mixed with Colour blast shimmer dust in "Midnight"
- Apply through stencil allow to dry naturally

Thanks for visiting.
Happy Scrapping.

Jot Magazine November challenge double page Scrapbook Layout

Hi Scrap Friends

I've found some creative mojo and I'm pleased to share my take on the November moodboard at

My Layout "Be-YOU-tiful"

My inspiration came from almost every photo in this moodboard.
copyleannemoodboardnovember

Initially, I saved the alphabet image and printed my own background paper.
Then I tore some layers, like in the mountain image.

I created the background using different mediums inspired by the door image.
The blue arrow picture frame also features and of course a peacock :)

I chose a Funky Flair Studio heart flair to finish.

I'm really proud of this layout.
I love how it's come together and it's quickly become one of my favourites.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

--- A2Z Scraplets DT --- Scrapbook layout + process video "Fishing"

Hi Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing my second layout for A2Z Scraplets

"Fishing"

I've got a mad keen fisherman husband and that spills over to our boys.
So when I saw this chipboard I knew I had the perfect layout in mind.

Check it out here

My preparation of the chipboard started as adding a layer of acrylic paint and I was going
to clear emboss over the top ...
however, I accidentally grabbed the white embossing powder instead of the clear!

So back to the drawing board - I ended up heating the white embossing and then adding
two more layers of embossing powder to get the final product.

I've made a video sharing  how I created this layout.

I've used the Oblong Stencelit and I have to tell you how impressed I am with the stencils.
They are tough but flexible and mediums wash off them really easily.

Thanks so much for visiting.

Turtle Soup Forum - July Birthday Bash - Projects ...

Hi Scrap Friends

Well, it seems like my blog has been a little quiet but in the background I've got
dozens of projects on the go.

I thought I would share some of the projects that I've created for the Birthday Bash over at
Turtle Soup Forum

The first was this sketch created by Bev

My interpretation "Best Friends"

The tags are a challenge set by me - to create a tag that features washi or bling.

I got this idea from pinterest.
I've cut tags using the Cricut and then layered washi tape and used mounting foam to raise the
black layer.

Below are some of the other challenges I've participated in this month.

Artist Trading Cards (ATC) - I've never made these and found it quite fun.
Lots of delicious Gelato colours and some Colour Blast paste + Kaisercraft stickers to finish.

A baby layout using non-traditional colours - we chose orange for our nursery
so I've created an orange inspired layout.

A shaped card was the task for this challenge.

A wedding layout.

Lastly a Christmas card.

This is what I've worked through so far. I have a couple of other projects on the go but I really wanted
to share some of the fantastic challenges that are happening this month over on the
Turtle Soup forum.

Pop on over, join up and start playing along with us!

Thanks for visiting.

123 Challenge Blog July layout "You are Priceless"

Hi Scrap Friends

I'm sharing a layout created for the July challenge at 123 Challenge

My layout "You are Priceless"

I haven't played along with 123 for a couple of months due to other commitments, but decided
this month to give it a shot.

The challenge was to use pastels, glitter and the word "Priceless"

I've uploaded this to the challenge gallery even though it is one of those layout that I don't
"LOVE"!

It's not that I dislike the layout but it just didn't turn out like I'd hoped and I'm not
really feeling it!

I think it's important to share these layouts though, I'm not a perfectionist and sometimes
a layout comes easily and I love it and other times, it's difficult and I have no
reaction to the final result.

But in the end, it all comes down to taste, so a layout that I may have mixed feelings
about could be completely loved by someone else.

Thanks for stopping by.
