*** Mystical Scrapbooks DT *** November challenge reveal "Gifts & Cards"

  Hi Crafters

Welcome to November challenge reveal for Mystical Scrapbooks..

This month is all about Gifts & Cards.

My challenge is to make a Christmas Card and if you want an extra challenge - include some fussy cutting.

I'm definitely not a huge card maker.

But when I create cards I make them like layouts = layers & Clusters.

Here are the supplies used for this layout:

Thanks for visiting ... I hope you have fun with this months challenge.

Turtle Soup Forum - July Birthday Bash - Projects ...

Hi Scrap Friends

Well, it seems like my blog has been a little quiet but in the background I've got
dozens of projects on the go.

I thought I would share some of the projects that I've created for the Birthday Bash over at
Turtle Soup Forum

The first was this sketch created by Bev

My interpretation "Best Friends"

The tags are a challenge set by me - to create a tag that features washi or bling.

I got this idea from pinterest.
I've cut tags using the Cricut and then layered washi tape and used mounting foam to raise the
black layer.

Below are some of the other challenges I've participated in this month.

Artist Trading Cards (ATC) - I've never made these and found it quite fun.
Lots of delicious Gelato colours and some Colour Blast paste + Kaisercraft stickers to finish.

A baby layout using non-traditional colours - we chose orange for our nursery
so I've created an orange inspired layout.

A shaped card was the task for this challenge.

A wedding layout.

Lastly a Christmas card.

This is what I've worked through so far. I have a couple of other projects on the go but I really wanted
to share some of the fantastic challenges that are happening this month over on the
Turtle Soup forum.

Pop on over, join up and start playing along with us!

Thanks for visiting.

Kaisercraft December card sketch challenge using "Touch of Gold" range

Hi Scrap Friends

Don't you just love that feeling of being finished work for the year.
I've taken some much needed time off from my "Real job" and
am looking forward to spending some time with my favourite hobby ...

Scrapping!!!

So today I'm sharing my entry for this months Kaisercraft Blog card sketch challenge.

MONTHLY BLOG CHALLENGE

I'm not normally a fan of cards but as soon as I saw the sketch,
I knew I wanted to make a shaker card.

I've used the Touch of Gold range of papers.
The flower was originally white but I coloured it with antique gold mist.

Thanks for stopping by.

--- Deer & Fawn Guest DT --- A card using Time Machine from Kaisercraft

Hi Deer & Fawn Fans

Today I'm sharing a card with you that I made recently for my father in laws birthday.

I've used the Kaisercraft Time Machine 6.5x6.5 paper pad and some brown cardstock.

Time Machine 6.5

I'd started this card but felt that it needed something a little more.
Flipping through the paper pad, I noticed a shape that I'd already removed.

I decided I really liked the shape and that I wanted to use it.

So I pulled out a piece of the Time Machine paper

folded it in half (pattern inside) and slipped it under the cutout

Then I traced through it and cut the tracing out.

Then I screwed up the paper, before unrolling and inking.

The final product:

A lovely simple, masculine card that was fairly quick and easy.
Don't forget to use the negatives left when cutting out your paper,
sometimes they really do come in handy!

The Scrapbook Boutique April Challenge - Mother's Day Card

Hi Scrap Friends

I'm sharing today a card I completed which was inspired by the Scrapbook Boutique April challenge.

Ok, so I have to admit, I'm not really a card person. I enjoy making them and enjoying giving them away, however I much prefer watching a layout come together rather than a card.

I was inspired on another blog I visited to get into card making a little more!

Every month Scrapbook Boutique have these delicious cupcake challenges and this one made my mouth water! So my card is a mix of purples, browns and silver.

Thanks for looking

Materials:

Brown & purple card stock, gesso, paper, Mont Marte silver acrylic, Kaisercraft purple acrylic, Kaisercraft Antique Bazaar collectable frame, silver twine, pearl ribbon, flower and stickers
