I decided to play along with White ... with 1

"Friends"

I seriously love red!

But I hardly ever scrap with it. I find it very difficult to make a beautiful page so ...

Sorry for being so absent on my blog lately.
Lots going on behind the scenes.

Today though, I'd like to share my layout for the November challenge at
White ... with 1

"Sweet"

I Scraplifted this layout after discovering it on Pinterest.

It's created by the fabulous Flore

We want you to create a layout inspired by the moodboard and featuring "Orange Blaze"

Looking through my photo stash, I found this photo of Master Z on an orange slide.

Then it was just a matter of collecting anything orange from my stash.

For my background I've used Vicki Boutin watercolour tubes and spread them with the tube.

I added a couple of black elements and stamping to help lift the layout.

I'm so pleased with how this one turned out.

Welcome to the October challenge at White ... with 1

Here is my inspiration layout "Trouble x 2"

This month we have a fun easy to use sketch.

Each month when I prepare the WW1 challenge, I start by raiding my stash for anything that matches the colour. 

Then it becomes a challenge to find a suitable photo.

Thankfully I found this one from when my boys where less than twelve months and knew that it would work so well with this months colour.

It's always going to be trouble when it's quiet and this was what I found ...
My two boys pulling all the tissues out of the box!!!

I had fun with paste and washi tape for the background and embellished with my photo cluster.

Today I'm sharing my inspiration layout for the September challenge at
White ... with 1

"Crushing"

Isn't the colour this month delicious.

I firstly chose my photo and hunted through my stash for some teal embellishments.
I found this photo of DH with our teal wall in the background and new it was just the right photo to use.
I then added some watercolour background and paper layers before finishing with a pop of gold colour in the title.

My layout : "That Smile"

Seriously, yellows are my favourite colour to use.
So I raided my stash and gathered everything I could find inspired by the "Sunny Yellow" theme.

This was one of those pages where it all just worked!
I think the photo is very important and this super cute B&W was so easy to work with.

Today is one of my fav days of the month.
When you get to see all the new scrapbook challenges.

My first share is for White with 1

"1st Haircut"

This month we have a lovely colour this month.

You can also take inspiration from this sweet moodboard.

I've started with White cardstock background (Of Course!) and created some stripes with Distress Crayon and washi tape.

I then grabbed some stash items and built my page.
These photos I've had printed for awhile, but had not scrapped them.

This page with it's blue inspiration matched the photos so I went with it.

I also had this chippie from A2Z Scraplets and the layout kind of just fell into place.

I always look forward to seeing your creations each month, so I hope you'll have fun with this months colour.

Today I'm sharing my inspiration layout for the June challenge over at
White ... with 1

"Happy Days"

This month our challenge colour is pretty open to interpretation.


I adore this months sketch but decided to swap it a little.
Instead of three photos I chose one and used patterned papers for the photo area.

Lots of stash busting for this layout.
I find at the moment, I'm very drawn to less mixed media and more paper based layouts.
This page features a little bit of black ink splatter but is otherwise just layers and embellishments.

Today I'm sharing my page for the May challenge at
White ... with 1

It was definitely a challenge for me.
As someone who rarely uses pink, I had to really stretch my creativity with this layout.

"Me"

Don't you just love the pretty inspiration board this month.

I started by collecting some "pink"items from my stash.

I didn't want the layout to be too "pink" so I also chose some neutral whites and silver.

I decided that this was a good time to use a photo of myself.

New Hair = perfect for selfies.

It's hard to see (and photograph) but the background actually features delicious shimmery texture paste.

I also chose a white/silver patterned background for a little extra bling.

How great is this months colour and sketch ...

Here is my take on challenge ...
"Lucky"

I started by choosing a series of photos.

These three had been sitting in my stash which worked out perfectly.

Next, I took some white cardstock - of course!

I used a Tim Holtz Stencil and Distress Ink to create the background.

I chose a few other elements from my stash, including washi, wood veneer and charms Creation Heart.

I love the simplicity of this page.

Today I'm sharing my layout for the February challenge at
White ... with 1

"Hello"

Wow, what a colour this month!!!!

I really wanted to challenge myself with this one. 

I could have done a page of myself but what's the fun in that.

So I dug through the photo stash and found this photo of Master Z wearing my pink bed socks - Perfect!!!

With choosing the photo out of the way, I started to dig through my stash for anything pink.

I found the sparkly tags and some paper and embellishments.

I decided to add the black washi and the black splatters to sort of "UnPink" (?!?) the page.

I really like the simplicity but striking background of this page and the challenge of stretching my creativity.

Seriously looking forward to seeing your creations this month.
