--- Scrapbook Boutique DT --- April Challenge Reveal "Hello" layout

Hi Scrap Friends

It's challenge time over at Scrapbook Boutique.

This month's moodboard really was a challenge for me.

Here is my layout "Hello"

I struggled with the pastel colours of the moodboard as I'm really more of a brights type person.

I tried to focus on the quote and I'd previously seen this type of photo done before so decided to go with it.

--- A2Z Scraplets DT --- "Perfectly Normal" Scrapbook layout

Hi Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing a layout for A2Z Scraplets

My layout "Perfectly Normal"

I've used the
picket fence and gate set
treated with a single layer of white embossing powder to give it an aged look.

Sprinkled around the page are also some of the
Stars and Hearts icons set
treated with gesso, Tim Holtz distress crayon and glitter embossing powder.

I've had this chippie in my stash for months.
I love it and there are so many uses for it, but I really struggled to do it justice.

In the end, I had started this layout and was creating the background layers, when I realised it needed some texture in the background.

I had this chippie sitting on the desk - waiting for inspiration to strike.
I was so pleased that it fit in so well and really adds dimension to the page.

Papers and elements on this page are from Shimelle "Little by Little" collection.
Also features Colour Blast paste in Sunshine.

Thanks for visiting.
Happy Scrapping.

Jot Magazine March moodboard challenge - 9x12 scrapbook layout "Bloom"

Hi Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing my take on the March moodboard at

"Bloom"

I love the colours of this moodboard but the inspiration images kind of threw me.

I decided to use the balloons and flowers as a starting point.

I got out some white cardstock and drew some balloons with my Tim Holtz distress crayons.
I cut them out freehand and combined them on my page with some twine and floral elements from Shimelle "Little by Little" and Kaisercraft "Wildflower".

Sitting on my desk was the new "Wild at Heart" collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio and the chipboard pieces were screaming out to be used.
So I added the "Bloom" title.

At this point, I hadn't even chosen a photograph.

Off I went searching for something that would fit with my commenced creation.

I didn't want a large or multiple photos.
This one I think is perfect - as it shows Master Z's cheeky personality and grin.

I finished by attaching my 8.5x11 white card onto a 9x12 Kaisercraft "Wildflower" paper.

I'm seriously loving the minimalist layouts at the moment.

Thanks for visiting.

Stuck?! sketches March sketch challenge - Scrapbook Layout

Hi Scrap Friends

I instantly fell in love with the Stuck?! Sketch this month.

My Layout "Captured This"

I really liked this sketch and knew that I had to scrap it.

I've used the delicious Shimelle "Little by Little" collection.

Seriously... that 12x12 paper pad has 48 pages!!!!!!
It is so thick and full of fabulous patterns and images!
Love it.

I've used the sketch as inspiration. I rotated it slightly to give my page interest and cropped the corners.
I also went with squares instead of square on circle clusters :)

Thanks for visiting.
