Charms Creations DIY Month Scrapbooking Layout

Hello Scrap Friends

I'm loving Charms Creations products at the moment.

The August challenge is to DIY your Charms Creation.

When thinking about this challenge I really had something to do with twine in my head.
Not sure where it came from, but I'm super stoked with my DIY'd charm.

Here's the layout "Scrapbook Break Up 2014"

Here's my DIY'd Charm:
I've added another layer of felt and included some twine.
I also used grey gelato lightly over the white calico and then included a glitter heart.

At every scrapbook break up we have our photo take in some funny, silly way.
I've scrapped this photo by hiding it under my main layout!

Such a great bunch of ladies that I spend scrap time with every month.

Here is the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by and
thanks to Charmaine for her gorgeous charms and this months DIY challenge.

Scrap the Boys August Challenge Layout using Cocoa Vanilla range

Hello Scrap Friends

Get ready for a shock ...

This layout was completed in less than an hour!!!!

I've noticed that trending layouts are for lots of simple layers with
minimal embellishing and are becoming more focused on the story.

Thought I'd give it a go using the fantastic range from Cocoa Vanilla Studio.

Here's what I came up with "X2" (Times Two)

This month at Scrap the Boys the challenge could include
Mummy & Me.

I loved digging through my stash and finding this photo of me with our twins.
Thanks for visiting.

White with 1 - August challenge: Custard Scrapbook Layout "U R Bee-u-tiful"

Hello Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing a layout created for the August challenge at
White with 1.

"U R Bee-u-tiful"

The inspiration from this layout came from Terhi Koskinen.
She makes the most detailed but simple to achieve layouts.
Pop over to her blog here and check out her works.

This months challenge was Custard.
Initially I wondered what I would possible do and then
remembered I'd just purchased some water colours to play with.

I've added the water colours to the white cardstock,
layered with stamping & modelling paste.
The chipboard frame had a coat of gesso then the watercolour again.

You may also notice I've included a few little touches of red!
That's because whenever I think of custard, I think of jelly - hence the red :)

Thanks for visiting.
If you like my layout, please feel free to leave a comment.
