--- Scrapbook Boutique DT --- "Christmas Wishes" Scrapbook layout + process video

 Hi Scrap Friends

Today I've got a layout to share for Scrapbook Boutique

"Christmas Wishes"

How delicious is the "Mint Wishes" collection from Kaisercraft.

Paper tearing seems to be my go to technique at the moment so I decided to make a really big hole in the backround page and use the awesome wood grain paper for the backing.

To add a little more "mint" to the background I've used the Tim Holtz Distress Oxides.

This is one of my favourite Christmas pictures from last year.
I love that this layout is so neutral and soft with that bright pop of colour on the photo.

You can find all of these products at

Here is the process video if you'd like to watch or check out the technique used to apply the Distress Oxides.

Thanks for visiting.

D-Lish Scraps October JAP Kit Challenge - "Hello Cutie Patootie"

Hello Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing my take on the October challenge at

My Layout "Hello Cute Patootie"

I know I say it every month but the JAP kits are just awesome!!

I've loosely followed the sketch as far as the background work but I have moved the title.

My background features Colour Shimmer Dust in "Candy" and Colour paste in "Snow White".

From the JAP Kit I've used
- twine
- washi tape
- resin hat piece
- Stitched light bulb

Thanks for visiting.

--- A2Z Scraplets DT --- "Relax & Unwind" Scrapbook Layout

Hi Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing a layout for A2Z Scraplets

My layout "Relax & Unwind"

The Relax & Unwind chipboard was the inspiration for this page.

I've coated it in black ink - Simple!

I chose some photos of my boys on the first trip to the movies - A great way to relax and unwind.

I've also used Nested Circles again treated with black ink.

I've kept this page nice and simple, with some machine stitching, black ink and some pops of red - to match with the photos.

Thanks for visiting.
Happy Scrapping.

--- Colour Blast DT --- "Cherish" Scrapbook Layout + process video

Hi Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing a new project for Colour Blast

"Cherish"

To begin this page, I've collected some supplies.
- Photo, paper, chipboard, flowers
- White heavy gesso
- Colour sprays
- Embossing powder
- Stamps

Before I start adding anything, I've reinforced this background paper with a second sheet of paper - as I knew I was going to add lots of mediums.

Using a spatula, spread White Heavy Gesso to create a base for the mediums and help mute the background.

While the gesso dries, I added Colour embossing powder in Steel to the chipboard pieces.

I collected some papers to create a photo cluster.

The cluster features lots of layers and includes tags and a circular element.

The background is dry so I've added some stamping using permanent ink - so that the ink doesn't run when I start adding other mediums.

I added first Colour shimmer spray in Envy and moved the colour around with my finger.
Repeat the process with Colour spray Carribean.

When the sprays are dry, I wanted to add some more texture.
You could achieve the same with Colour Pastes, however
I chose to mix Colour Mica powder Polar with matte gel medium - as it gave me control over the depth of the colour.
I added more mica powder to increase the depth of colour as required.

The matte gel gives it a lovely finish.

I'm always on the lookout for interesting textures to use on layouts and I found this
"Creepy Gauze Cloth" at my local discount store - perfect!

It adds such interest to the background of the layers and the pop of black helps lift the blue background colour.

Finally I've embellished the page with the chipboard pieces, flowers and some black splatters.
These 49 & Market flowers needed a little help to blend in with the page so I coloured them with Colour Shimmer Spray Envy.

This process video goes for about five minutes and shows in more detail, how I achieved this page.

Kaisercraft October challenge - Scrapbook Layout "Tis the Season"

Hello Scrap Friends

Today I'd like to share with you my take on the October challenge at
Kaisercraft

Here is my page "Tis the Season"

What an adorable moodboard this month and I love the "Mint Wishes" collection.

The collection features some lovely patterns and textues, so I teamed them with some Distress Ink "Brushed Corduroy" and some splatters.

Some lovely simple paper layers and a cluster of florals to finish the page.

Thanks for visiting.

Scrap the Boys October sketch challenge - "# Rad" Scrapbook Layout

Hi Scrap Friends

I've just returned from a lovely week away with my family where I was lucky enough to play along with some scrapbooking challenges.

This one is for Scrap the Boys.

"# Rad"

A cute sketch to play along with this month.

I started following the sketch and the layout kind of expanded on its own.

I've used elements from the new Kaisercraft "Mint Wishes" collection with a little pop of colour paste in the background. Rug mesh, wood veneer and a Charms Creations heart to finish.

Thanks for visiting.
Happy Scrapping.
