Hi Crafters

Today's share is for Mystical Scrapbooks

April we are challenging you to use Black + 1

So I'd like you to use black + teal.

I've started with Uniquely Creative "Country Roads" Paper.

Then I've used the Nuvo drops in Blue Lagoon through the Cadence mixed media stencil

I chose my photo and added some paper layers behind it.

The chipboard piece is My heart is full from Dusty Attic which I've covered with Gold embossing powder

To finish I've added some flower clusters in those teal and turquoise colours

I can't wait to see your Black + teal creations.

Today I'm sharing a new layout created for 

Mystical Scrapbooks

For August we are focusing on textiles.
The online cybercrop starts today and my challenge is to use the sketch + textiles.

Here is the sketch I designed ...

The corrugated cardboard is from the packing boxes that scrapbook goodies arrive in.

Spray the top layer with some water and then it will soften up enough that you can peel it back and reveal the corrugation.

--- Mystical Scrapbooks DT --- July Cybercrop challenge 'Grab 5'

Hello Crafty Friends

Today I'm sharing my Cybercrop challenge for Mystical Scrapbooks inspired by the fabulous "Inkie Quill"

I've used the Kaisercraft Christmas Edition Paper pad and created a non-Christmas layout.

I started with a glitter cardstock background and mixed texture paste with distress ink then added the paste through the script stencil.

A washi tape border and some embellishing with Rhinestones and Flowers.

--- White with ... 1 --- June Scrapbook layout "Love"

Today I'm sharing a scrapbook layout created for the challenge over at

White with ... 1

My layout "Love"

This month the team challenged us to create white on white with the colour

"Whisper"

So I started with white cardstock - easy!

Then I pulled out a doily for texture and then raided my embellishment box - which are all sorted by colour. So I grabbed some white hearts, the love word and the feather.

Next I had to find the photo ... I couldn't go past this one from our wedding - 10 years ago!!!!!

I used a Kinder Kreations Spring Bouquet Stencil stencil with the Crafters Workshop "Shimmery Goodness" paste to create more interest and texture.

I'm so pleased with how this layout turned out and it took less than an hour!

I decided to play along with White ... with 1

"Friends"

I seriously love red!

But I hardly ever scrap with it. I find it very difficult to make a beautiful page so ...

thank you for the challenge.

I've followed the sketch for this page.

My layout "Loving Life"

This month we'd like to inspire you with this "Boho" themed moodboard.

Straight up ... this was really hard for me!
I'm definitely not a fan of the boho and I'm more a brights/bold kind of person.

So I did a little googling of "boho" and discovered arrows, florals and feathers.
Next I looked for a photo and decided this would be a good opportunity to scrap a picture of myself.

Finally I've gotten into my stash and put together this page.

Welcome to the October challenge at White ... with 1

Here is my inspiration layout "Trouble x 2"

This month we have a fun easy to use sketch.

Each month when I prepare the WW1 challenge, I start by raiding my stash for anything that matches the colour. 

Then it becomes a challenge to find a suitable photo.

Thankfully I found this one from when my boys where less than twelve months and knew that it would work so well with this months colour.

It's always going to be trouble when it's quiet and this was what I found ...
My two boys pulling all the tissues out of the box!!!

I had fun with paste and washi tape for the background and embellished with my photo cluster.

What's not to love about the "Hello Baby" inspiration this month??

I looked through lots of photos but I really wanted it to be a genuine "baby" photo.

This one was waiting in the baby album for it's very own page so I decided to look up the date it was taken and use that as part of my page - "7 days new"

Oh how I miss those sweet, snuggly times.
Even though at the time I really struggled to enjoy it because of the pressure to feed, sleep, gain weight etc.

Someone sent me this quote and I have always tried to remember it
"The days are long but the years are short"

It's true... my boys are now five and started prep this year.
Each day can be a struggle but life goes so fast, I try to remember to just stop and enjoy it.

Today I'm sharing a layout for A2Z Scraplets

My layout "The best day"

This page features tow chippies.
First the Leafy Stems

I decided to colour them with my Distress Crayons, so first they got a coat of white gesso.

Then with my chosen colours, I draw on the leaf and smudge the colour with my fingers.

Repeating the process with different greens.

Finally, just to bring everything together, I added a touch of green glitter paste.

I love how they look, tucked into the flower cluster.

I've also used the Picture Frame 15
Covering it with Nuvo embossing powder which has a gorgeous glitter element.

I love how cute this photo is of my boys at Dreamworld.
So simple to put together with a easy torn paper background and lots of A2Z Scraplets Chipboard elements.

Today I'm sharing my inspiration layout for the September challenge at
White ... with 1

"Crushing"

Isn't the colour this month delicious.

I firstly chose my photo and hunted through my stash for some teal embellishments.
I found this photo of DH with our teal wall in the background and new it was just the right photo to use.
I then added some watercolour background and paper layers before finishing with a pop of gold colour in the title.
