DLish Scraps - Beachside Bliss - Scrapbooking layout "Campsite View"

Hi fellow scrappers

As soon as I saw the DLish Scraps February Moodboard "Beachside Bliss" I had the perfect photo in mind.

I was immediately inspired by the pearls. I've had some very pretty pearl ribbon at home that I've been wanting to use but hadn't found the right layout.

I started this layout with white cardstock and then chalked the background like a beach, with blue sky, blue ocean and yellow sand.
I then layered some texture paste with a stencil, embellished and spray inked the hole page before adding the photo, pearl ribbon and flower.

Please feel free to leave a comment.

Materials:

White cardstock, Stampin Up Chalks, texture paste, stencil, black pen, Green Tara Pearl spray, Scrap FX chipboard, plasterers tape, gesso, Kaisercraft spray ink, Little Birdie flower, Kaisercraft sticker, pearl ribbon

Scrap the Boys February Scrapbooking Layout "Text"

The February challenge at Scrap the Boys was "Out of their mouths".
While my layout is not technically from DH mouth, you get the general idea.
My twins are not talking yet so I went with the other "Boy" in my life.

I've got a wonderful collection of text message from my DH over the years.
Including this one "Can't sleep, clowns will eat me" - from TV show The Simpsons

I knew exactly what I wanted for this layout - something very manly. The touch's of orange were a late addition to break up some of the brown.
The hardest part of this layout was finding a picture of DH on his phone!

Materials:

Kaisercraft Grunge "Rebel" Paper, Gesso, Adirondack "Espresso" spray, texture paste, various tamps, orange embossing powder, Versa Color "Black", "Umber" and "Silver", Texture paste, rub ons, twine, black paper doillie, Kaisercraft Hello Today collectables, chipboard letters

Scrap the Girls February Scrapbook Layout "Me"

This is my first layout for Scrap the Girls.
I've been hesitant to play previously as I live in a house full of boys!!
Buy hey, I'm a girl so why shouldn't I scrapbook pages of myself.

It was such a pretty mood board this month.

Visit Scrap the Girls here.

My layout was obviously inspired by the colour green but I paired it with some brown. I used a birthday selfie pic as I wore a green dress for my birthday.

My 30th year was a big learning curve and I feel like going into my 31st year that I've learnt so much and that sometimes you have to trust your journey even if you don't understand it - hence the quote :)

Hope you like my layout and please feel free to leave a comment.

Materials:

Green cardstock, Adirondack "Espresso" colour wash, Kaisercraft "Blue Bay" papers, Scrap Matts chipboard border, Green Tara flower, Portacraft embossed stickers, Little Birdie flowers, sequins

White with 1 - February Scrapbook layout "Dream Big"

I love when the start of the month falls on a weekend so that when the scrapbooking challenges are released, I can get straight into my scrap room and start crafting.

Visit White with 1 here http://whitewith1.blogspot.com.au/

My layout "Dream Big"

As soon as I saw the colour, I had two ideas. One was to do an ombre colour background with spray and the other was to make it the background and overlay with a cutout.

This pic also shows the sparkly embossing that's also under the overlay.

Materials for this project:
White cardstock, Jo Sonja's "Orange", embossing ink and powder, orange cardstock, white and orange felt floral runner, Kaisercraft Dream Big collectables, Flourish with a Bling flower, Kaisercraft flower, buttons, ribbon
