Artastic Challenge Blog August challenge - Scrapbook Layout "Swing"

Hi Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing a layout created for the August challenge at Artastic Challenge Blog

My layout "Swing"

Inspired by this piece by Thea Proctor.

I really struggled with this challenge!
I think I was overwhelmed by all the options for inspiration - colour, outdoors, swing, people, birds, play and every time I looked at the image I couldn't decide what to create!

So I broke it down and went with a sky theme - blues and white and I've used a picture of Master C
on a swing.
My background is black pen through a stencil.
A couple of pops of red and this layout was done!

My Creative Sketches August challenge scrapbook layout "Puzzles"

Hi Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing a layout for the August challenge at My Creative Sketches

My layout "Puzzles"

The sketch was so easy to work with and I love the result of this layout.

I've been using turquoise and brown a lot lately and it seems to be my go to at the moment.
This layout uses the Kaisercraft Sea Breeze collection.

--- Funky Flairs Guest DT --- Mixed Media Layout + process video

Hi Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing my second August layout Guesting for Funky Flair Studio

My page "Cards"

I saw these flairs in the store and they looked so cool - though I had no idea what I would do
with them.
While searching my photo stash, I found this one of my boys playing with
a deck of cards - it kept them entertained for hours - even if I did find
them in some really strange places later!

I've gone for a really grungy, mixed media layout with lots of textural elements.

Here's a process video, if you'd like to see how I created this page!

Thanks for visiting.

Don't forget to check out Funky Flair Studio!!

D-Lish Scraps August challenge Scrapbook Layout "Adventure"

Hi Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing a layout created for the August challenge at D-Lish Scraps.

My Layout "Adventure"

Inspired by the geometric moodboard this month.
I've titled my layout Adventure as per the moodboard.

For my background, I've used Tim Holtz Distress Crayon in white and then covered
with watercolour  - it's hard to see but I've used the triangles from the sketch
background.
I used limited products from the JAP kit because I figured a lot of people would use them for this
challenge. I've included the washi tape, flairs, felt bow and sequins.

The beach photos were an easy choice for this layout as blue and yellow remind
me of the beach!

--- Turtle Soup DT --- Tuesday challenge - Acrylic paint - Scrapbook Layout

Hi Scrap Friends

Have you visited Scrapping Turtle forum yet?

They have awesome challenges, sketches and mini crops every month.
Free to join and some fabulous inpsiration +
I'm on their design team. LOL

So today I thought I'd share a recent layout and challenge I created.

My Layout "Go, See, Do"

The challenge I set was to use acrylic paint on a page and I shared
a technique of how to make your own paste using Impasto.

I really love how this layout turned out, a little different from my usual style but fun
to get outside my comfort zone.

Show us your Stuff August Challenge "Ugly paper" scrapbook layout

Hi Scrap friends

Today I'm sharing a layout for Show us your stuff August challenge.

My Layout: "Today"

This could not have come at a better time. I recently shuffled some loose papers and came across some "What were you thinking?" purchases. Some I threw away, some I kept as I just couldn't part with them??????

lWhile not a typically "Ugly" paper - it was more of a "What were you thinking?" paper. LOL

Great idea for a challenge!

My layout includes flair and foil die cuts from Funky Flair Studio.
