Today I'm sharing a layout created for the February challenge at 

123 Challenge blog

My layout "Best of Friends"

 This month we were challenged to use the colour red, the word Friends and flowers on our layout.

I've done some stash/scrap busting to complete this page.

I started with the kraft/red spotted Kaisercraft background paper.

I decided to trim the pieces because I didn't want a whole page of kraft background.

Then I applied a layer of white gesso with a spatula.

My background is combined of flower stickers, stamping, ribbon, 

My photo cluster is made up of left overs from my stash.

My flower element is stickers instead of paper flowers - just for something different.

I'm really pleased with how this one turned out.

Today I'm sharing a layout for A2Z Scraplets

My layout "Baby Love"

This is another 9x12 layout and I'm really enjoying the results of challenging my creativity.

I started with white card and prepped it with white gesso.

Then I used a stencil and texture paste before using Colour Blast shimmer dust in "Sunflower" with lots and lots of water - then set with the heat gun.

Chipboard on this page is the "Scribbly circle texture strip"
simply treated with black ink.

White with 1 February Challenge Scrapbook Layout "Dream"

Today I'm sharing a layout created for the February challenge at 

White with 1

My layout "Dream"

This months colour is Blue Jeans.

Also included is an optional sketch.

I decided to use the sketch and proceeded to raid my stash for anything resembling the "Blue jeans" colour.

Of course, I started with white cardstock. I created the border with pastel chalks and went with the "Dream" theme as the photo's are of Master C looking up at the clouds.

I don't know if I'm completely happy with the final result of this page but I enjoyed the process and loved stash busting!

D-Lish Scraps February challenge - "Sweet" scrapbook Layout

Today I'm sharing a layout created for the February challenge at
D-Lish Scraps

"Sweet"

I decided to roll with the sketch in this month's JAP kit.

 But I made a smaller version and then mounted it onto some cardstock.

The JAP kit came with a cute leaf stencil. I used a pen to trace through it and then coloured the leaves with Distress Crayons.

The "Sweet" title was perfect with this photo of Master Z enjoying icecream.

With thanks to receiving some Feedback on my YouTube channel, I'm going to create more Multi-photo layouts. So I thought I would combine today's share with something I haven't done for a while.

A double page layout.

While perusing photos and collections in my stash, I found this Kaisercraft "Party Time" Collection.

I had an idea in mind for this page so I started by creating a sketch to ensure it ended like the idea in my head!

I have of course used my favourite medium - "Tim Holtz Distress Crayons"

Today I'm sharing a layout for A2Z Scraplets

My layout "Cute Indeed"

I've used the 12x12 background triangles
which I loved straight away but really struggled to complete the layout.

I went with bright rainbow colours in the background and embellishments.

The chipboard is treated with gesso + Tim Holtz Distress Crayons and 

then sponged roughly with texture paste.

My background paper received a coat of clear gesso 

and then different mediums to create the rainbow effect.

"Published"

I had no idea what to do with this sketch.

So I started with a photo. I'd recently printed this one of myself and it was square so it fitted the sketch.

I then chose some elements from the latest Kitaholic Kits box of goodies and decided to go with it.
Pink is not a colour I use often - if at all.
But as I'm getting quite a collection, I'm trying to use it.
So hence my choice of colour for this layout.

The page kind of developed on it's own. but I really like how it turned out.

I've used a Charms Creations heart and some Burdies Embellies foam elements.

Welcome to the February 2017 challenge at 

Here is this month's moodboard:



I've created a beach inspired layout "At the Beach"

This is one of those layouts that was difficult!!!

I started creating and had an idea in mind, but it really didn't turn out like I'd planned.

I struggled to recover the background but eventually finished it with something I can live with.

This page combines Cocoa Vanilla Studio elements with Colour Blast pastes.

Here's a process video to see the creation of this page and I also explain my feelings on this layout.
