Scrap Around the World August Mixed Media Scrapbook Layout

Hello Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing a layout I created taking inspiration from
Scrap Around the World August Moodboard.

"Discover"

My inspiration came immediately from the beach picture.
Living in regional Queensland means that a trip to the beach is a real treat.
I had the perfect photo of Master Z looking cool at his first trip to the beach.
I started with a lovely brown palette as per the colours of the mood board but found as I progressed with my layout that it was looking a little dull.
I added some colour and instantly felt better about the layout.
The title "Discover" was perfect.

Lots of elements formed this layout.

Fantastic papers from the "Thoughts Keeper" range from 7 Dots Studio.

Layers of Ink, modelling paste, stamping, Gesso & mists.
Some cheese clothe, twine and a touch of sparkle.

Thanks for visiting.

7 Dots Studio July Scrapbooking Layout challenge "Cat"

 Hello Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing a layout I created for 7 Dots Studio July Challenge.

My Layout "Cat"

The inspiration was to scrap an animal.

I'm really digging diagonal layouts at the moment.
So I've taken some 7 Dots Studio paper and started top left and moved to bottom right.
Added lots of stamping, texture, gold acrylic paint, chipboard, cheeseclothe and cotton.

The title was one I found online and made myself.
I thought it was cute and so appropriate.

Thanks for visiting.

7 Dots Studio June Challenge "Time Flies" Scrapbooking Layout

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.

This is my first time playing at 7 Dots Studio.

I love their new ranges of paper and I've added them to my wish list.

So with that in mind I've used some papers from my stash to complete this layout.
(7 Dots Studio, Thoughts Keeper No. 2)

I've used a photo collage of our dog. When I thought about this months theme of "Time Flies" I thought first of my children as time really is flying by with them but then I wanted to think a little outside the norm - so I went with a layout based on our fur child "Zeus".

June is his birth month so I felt it appropriate that he have a layout in our album!

Here are some close ups.

There is so much inspiration from the DT at 7 Dots Studio and you really should check it out.

I'm slowly catching up so will have more layouts to share in the next couple of days.

Thanks for visiting.
