Scrapping Clearly September Mood Board Layout

Hello Scrap Friends

I've been spending quite a bit of time in my craft room lately and
am pleased to share another completed layout.

This time inspired by the September moodboard at Scrapping Clearly

"My Dad"

Here are some close ups:

Scrapping Clearly have provided this beautiful moodboard.
I'm sure you can "sea" how I've been inspired :)

I really struggled to move this layout from the vision I saw in my head to the page.
I was instantly drawn to he nautical theme and knew
that I wanted to complete a layout of my Dad & his boating history.

I picked the photo's and gathered some colours and supplies
but just couldn't get the layout to come together.

It sat on my desk for a few days, adding layers and changing things,
but eventually I finished it off.

It's definitely growing on me and I love the memory!

7 Dots Studio July Scrapbooking Layout challenge "Cat"

 Hello Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing a layout I created for 7 Dots Studio July Challenge.

My Layout "Cat"

The inspiration was to scrap an animal.

I'm really digging diagonal layouts at the moment.
So I've taken some 7 Dots Studio paper and started top left and moved to bottom right.
Added lots of stamping, texture, gold acrylic paint, chipboard, cheeseclothe and cotton.

The title was one I found online and made myself.
I thought it was cute and so appropriate.

Thanks for visiting.

Here's a layout inspired by Scrap the Boys July Moodboard.

I was inspired by the orange, yellow and watermelon colours.

Not one of my favourite layouts but I'm trying new things and learning as I go.

Scrap Around the World June Moodboard scrapbooking layout

Hello Scrap Friends

My first challenge share for the month is Scrap Around the World.

My Layout "A Fabulous Day"

Sometimes a layout comes together really easily and this was one of those. I started with some modelling paste and mist on the page, layered some stamping, pearls, accordian flower, muslin, photo, flowers, journalling & done!!!
I picked this photo as I'm trying to scrap myself more often and this moodboard felt perfect for a recent selfie taken at the races.

I was inspired by the pretty pastel orange and turquoise colors,
the grey background of the quote, the chevron pattern
 and of course the flowers.

Materials:

Merci Paper, Modelling paste, Kaisercraft 'Orange' mist, black ink, stamping, CM Paper, grey muslin, Prima flower, Kaisercraft flower, pearls, black pen, gesso

Kraft + Kraftboard challenge May - Scrapbooking Layout

Hello Scrap Friends
Thanks for stopping by.
Today I'm sharing a layout for Kraft + May Kraftboard challenge.

Ok, so I have to admit that I've really wanted to do their challenges for months but every time I go to my local craft shop I forget to buy Kraft card and therefore, can't have a go at the challenge.
I managed to solve that by actually writing a list of supplies.

Here is my layout "Celebrate life everyday"

Anyone that's seen an ultrasound will recognize that it looks a little odd -
that's because the picture is of my Twins!

I took inspiration from the books - I've been wanting to use
old book pages in a layout for a while. This gave me the chance. I loved the orange
and green colours and you cannot go wrong with flowers on a layout.

Thank you for visiting. Please feel free to leave a comment.

Materials:

Kraft cardstock, old book pages, green cardstock, modelling paste, stencil, Kaisercraft orange, turquoise & charcoal mists, green watercolour pencil, black ink, orange embossing powder, chipboard shapes, various stamps, Kaisercraft & Little Birdie flowers, gesso, wire, CM Sticker, Orange cardstock, Kaisercraft Dream Big collectables

Off the Rails Scrapbooking April Layout "Hello"

Hello Scrap Friends

When I saw the mood board, I went looking for a photo and when I saw this one, I knew it was perfect. An extreme close up of Master Z with his "Whistle" in his mouth!

I started with a sheet of green patterned cardstock and cut the circles and used mod podge to lay them on the black cardstock. Then I layered some washi tape, ribbon, acrylic paint and stamping before adding my photo, some Prima Flowers, stickers and journalling.

Materials:

Black Cardstock, Green cardstock, Mod Podge Matte, washi tape, stamping, Mont Marte Silver acrylic paint, stencil, Kaisercraft texture stamp, black ink, Kaisercraft flower, Prima Flowers, Kaisercraft word, Lindy's Stamp Gang "Gag me with a spoon grey", ribbon, stickers, rhinestones, Gesso, Little Birdie butterfly

Scrap Around the World April "Beach Love" Scrapbooking Layout - TCM

Hi Blog visitors...

I've been trying my hand at some more mixed media layouts lately
as I find myself drawn to them.
My first for April is at Scrap Around the World where there are always so many fabulous mixed media layouts to look at.

This is Master C on his first visit to the beach.
He would play cat and mouse with the waves, running backwards and forwards.

"Beach Love"

A few new techniques in this layout for me.
Including the pearl title "Love" and the embossed anchor.

The mood board has a great beach feel to it.
I was instantly drawn to the rusty anchor and the rope and wanted
to do a layout with a rustic feel. So I tried to stay away from traditional beach colours.

I'd welcome any feedback or ideas on my layout and comments are always welcome.

Materials:

Kaisercraft Shine Bright "Canary", Mont Marte Silver Acrylic, Little Birdie hand made rope, modelling paste, hession, Simple Stories burlap sticker "Anchor" with aged silver embossing powder, Dylusions "Cut Grass" & "Calypso Teal" spray, Adirondak "Espresso" color wash, Lindy's Stamp Gang "Medieval Gold" Glitz Spray, Ranger Liquid Pearls "Onyx", Cricut Art Philosphy cartridge, black ink, stamping, Kaisercraft Blue Bay & Sandy Toes, wood wool, Kaisercraft "Raw Umber" acrylic paint

My Creative Sketches - March "Happiness" Scrapbooking layout

Well it's the end of another month and I'm scrambling to finish some layouts that are hanging around on my desk.
I love that My Creative Sketches release there sketch in the middle of the month, it gives me more time to play around.
Fortunately this one came together really easily and is ready to share.

"Happiness"

I've been experimenting a little more with mixed media and although I find it messy and unstructured, I'm finding ways to like my layouts more. I've been watching lots of tutorials and am desperate for one of the My Creative Scrapbook Kits - just need to convince my husband that I need more craft supplies :)

Here are some close ups:

This is the sketch the layout was based on

Thanks for looking, please feel free to leave a comment.

Off the Rails - March mood board & sketch layout "1984"

I have to admit, I'm not a huge fan of vintage layouts, however my Mother-in-law just gave me a bag of photos of my DH from birth to his 21st and it's given me a whole new realm of scrapping.

My local scrapbook store also has a monthly challenge kit and the two worked perfectly together.

My layout "1984"

(Note: The envelope has DH first address on it, which I've covered for privacy reasons)

You can visit Off the Rails Scrapbooking here to check out their fun vintage mood palette.

I used the sketch, took inspiration from the old letters and couldn't go past the brown and cream colours.

Please feel free to leave a comment.

Materials:

Brown cardstock, Creative Memories (CM) papers, Merci papers, Cricut, Stampin Up Stamp, Paper string, Green Tara flower, Little Birdie flower, leaves, Basic Grey alphabet, Carta Bella "Moments & Memories" sticker sheet
