Today I'm sharing my take on the
Kaisercraft May blog challenge

My Layout "Moments"

This month we were given this bingo inspiration.

I chose the top horizontal row - PDC.

I've used paint, damask and collectables on my page!



I chose the Ubud Dreams collection as I started with Sea Breeze paint.

I created the border with the damask stencil around the outside of the white cardstock.

This layout also features flowers created using the Silhouette Cameo.

I tried really hard to match the orange colour in the moodboard.
The layout is closer but was very hard to replicate in the photo.



I've made my background with dylusions and water.
Other elements on the page are from Kaisercraft "Boho Dreams" collection.

Love how this one has turned out.

White with 1 challenge blog - Scrapbook layout "Tangerine Tango"

Today I'm sharing a layout created for the challenge at White with 1

where of course the task is to start with white and incorporate primarily

the listed colour.

Here's my layout "Hello Yum"

I've declared this layout a "Hot mess".

I really loved the background but I think I just added too much to it and it now just looks like a mess of tangerine!

If you've ever watched the movie "Clueless", there is a saying about a Monet:
"Beautiful from far away but ugly up close"
That's how I feel about this layout.

But I decided to share it here on my blog because Scrapbooking is not about the perfect layout but about creating and in this case for me, learning when enough is enough.

In case you were still wondering what the colour inspiration is: 

I've started with white cardstock and then used my water colours to create a background

with some splatters. Then I've coloured most of my background using

Dylusions "Tangerine Dream" paint.

I've added a little hint of black in the background to help break things up,

then layers of white and wood veneer embellishments to finish.

Here is the inspiration sketch.

Straight away I was inspired by the circle and wanted to incorporate them into my layout!
I've created this layout by using watercolours on the background
and then layering my embellishments around the photos!

Scrap Around the World October moodboard challenge - "Proud"

Today I'm sharing a layout I created using the

October Moodboard.

My Layout "Proud"

The moodboard is so bright and colourful.

I was inspired by the tree and the twine hangings in the bottom right and used the quote.

You'll see on my layout that I've made my own twine heart (like the picture).

And I had a go at a freestyle water colour tree.

I'm really pleased with this layout and just love this photo of my Mum holding

her first grandchild for the first time. 

I'm thankful that she was there to help me and 

thankful that she is here to spend time with her grandkids.

*** NEWS *** Deer & Fawn Design Team October Reveal "About Me"

Can you believe how close it's getting to Christmas.

Today I'm so excited and happy to share the news that I've joined the team at Deer & Fawn Designs as a guest designer.

The October challenge is to scrapbook "About Me"

So when contemplating this challenge I wondered what my children might like to know about me.

My albums and pages are filled with pictures of my children

 but when I'm gone (sorry for the morbid thoughts) 

I wondered what my children would remember about me.

I'm so pleased with the memory keeping aspect of this layout and 

am going to try and remember to do one every year for DH & I.

Scrapping Clearly September Mood Board Layout

I've been spending quite a bit of time in my craft room lately and

am pleased to share another completed layout.

This time inspired by the September moodboard at Scrapping Clearly

"My Dad"

Scrapping Clearly have provided this beautiful moodboard.
I'm sure you can "sea" how I've been inspired :)

I really struggled to move this layout from the vision I saw in my head to the page.

I was instantly drawn to he nautical theme and knew

that I wanted to complete a layout of my Dad & his boating history.

I picked the photo's and gathered some colours and supplies 

but just couldn't get the layout to come together.

It sat on my desk for a few days, adding layers and changing things,
but eventually I finished it off.

It's definitely growing on me and I love the memory!

Off the Rails Scrapbooking - July Moodboard reveal Mixed Media layout

Today I'm sharing a layout I created using the July Moodboard at

Off the Rails Scrapbooking

"Not my little man anymore"

Here is the inspiration moodboard:

This layout was inspired by all those fabulous colours. Green, red, yellow & stone.

I've started with some freehand gesso and then layered modelling paste, inks, washi tape and paper.

Final touches include some great Imaginarium Chipboard and Charms.

Kraft + July Challenge - Mustard Explosion Scrapbooking Layout "Camp Bath"

I've finally joined instagram!!!

This post however, is to share my layout for Kraft + July Challenge.

Before I share, I'm going to admit that I was seriously intimidated by 

the quality of work from the DT and the other followers!

But ...

I was also really inspired, there are so many talented creative people out there.

Here is my layout "Camp Bath"

I chose this photo as the bucket we used had that mustard kind of colour to it. 

And I just couldn't resist that cheeky face on Master C. 

For my background, I've mixed yellow paint with modelling paste and layered through a stencil.

Then highlighted areas with black watercolour pencil.

Added some cotton wrapping, an embellishment cluster, photo & done!

I'm loving the Kaisercraft Basics Kraft range at the moment.

7 Dots Studio June Challenge "Time Flies" Scrapbooking Layout

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.

This is my first time playing at 7 Dots Studio.

I love their new ranges of paper and I've added them to my wish list.

So with that in mind I've used some papers from my stash to complete this layout.

(7 Dots Studio, Thoughts Keeper No. 2)

I've used a photo collage of our dog. When I thought about this months theme of "Time Flies" I thought first of my children as time really is flying by with them but then I wanted to think a little outside the norm - so I went with a layout based on our fur child "Zeus".

June is his birth month so I felt it appropriate that he have a layout in our album!

There is so much inspiration from the DT at 7 Dots Studio and you really should check it out.

I'm slowly catching up so will have more layouts to share in the next couple of days.
