Scrap the Girls October Challenge moodboard - "Scarf Weather" Scrapbooking layout

Hello Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing a layout using the inspiration board

My Layout "Scarf Weather"

Butterflies are one of my fav items for a layout so
I've made a line of them as per the inspiration picture.

Such a pretty pastel moodboard. I've used the colours, butterflies and circle to inspire me.

--- Deer & Fawn Guest DT --- A card using Time Machine from Kaisercraft

Hi Deer & Fawn Fans

Today I'm sharing a card with you that I made recently for my father in laws birthday.

I've used the Kaisercraft Time Machine 6.5x6.5 paper pad and some brown cardstock.

Time Machine 6.5

I'd started this card but felt that it needed something a little more.
Flipping through the paper pad, I noticed a shape that I'd already removed.

I decided I really liked the shape and that I wanted to use it.

So I pulled out a piece of the Time Machine paper

folded it in half (pattern inside) and slipped it under the cutout

Then I traced through it and cut the tracing out.

Then I screwed up the paper, before unrolling and inking.

The final product:

A lovely simple, masculine card that was fairly quick and easy.
Don't forget to use the negatives left when cutting out your paper,
sometimes they really do come in handy!

Scrapping Outback - October inspiration challenge - "Life was good today"

Hello crafty peeps!

I've been feeling a little down lately so I used retail therapy to cheer me up
and came home with a bunch of new scrappy goodies to play with.

I also find that creating helps my sanity so I'm happy to share a layout today
inspired by the ever delicious image at

My Layout "Life was good today"

I have to admit, I got a little excited with the background work and
may have overdone it just a little, it's not one of my fav layouts - too busy!
However, I love the chipboard piece and the bright colours of this layout.

Such a delicious image from Scrapping Outback.
Thanks for stopping by.

*** NEWS *** Deer & Fawn Design Team October Reveal "About Me"

Hello Scrap Friends

Can you believe how close it's getting to Christmas.

Today I'm so excited and happy to share the news that I've joined the team at Deer & Fawn Designs as a guest designer.

Deer and Fawn Designs

The October challenge is to scrapbook "About Me"

So when contemplating this challenge I wondered what my children might like to know about me.
My albums and pages are filled with pictures of my children
but when I'm gone (sorry for the morbid thoughts)
I wondered what my children would remember about me.

I'm so pleased with the memory keeping aspect of this layout and
am going to try and remember to do one every year for DH & I.

Debbie has put together such a talented team of designers

Stop over to the blog and check them out.
