Hello Scrap Friends

the inspiration board from

Here's my layout:

Inspired by the Kaisercraft Sketch:

KC October challenge

You can see in my layout that I've taken the cluster of the sketch and created two smaller ones
instead of one larger!

Using products from the Antique Bazaar collection and black and white timeless collection.
Also incorporated Kaisercraft red mist and some flowers.

Colour inspiration from Scrapbook Boutique:

Black, white and red with a little touch of green!

Jot Magazine October Moodboard Challenge - "Happy" Scrapbooking layout

Hello Scrap Friends

As the end of the month approaches, so does the rush to complete all
those layouts on my desk.

Today I'm sharing a layout inspired by the October moodboard at
Jot Magazine

My Layout "Happy"

Here are some close ups.

My background is water colour over gesso, then layers of washi tape, modelling paste,
stitching and stamping.

I initially found the moodboard a little challenging.

LeanneMoodBoard

I used the colours as inspiration, the circles and the word Happy.
I really like my final product.

Scrap Around the World October moodboard challenge - "Proud"

Hello Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing a layout I created using the
October Moodboard.

My Layout "Proud"

The moodboard is so bright and colourful.

I was inspired by the tree and the twine hangings in the bottom right and used the quote.

You'll see on my layout that I've made my own twine heart (like the picture).

And I had a go at a freestyle water colour tree.

I'm really pleased with this layout and just love this photo of my Mum holding
her first grandchild for the first time.
I'm thankful that she was there to help me and
thankful that she is here to spend time with her grandkids.

Thanks for visiting.

DLish Scraps October just add paper kit - Scrapbook Layout "Hello Sunshine"

Hello Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing a layout inspired by the Summer Fiesta moodboard

"Hello Sunshine"

This layout includes some spray mist and water colour background.
I've used the chipboard word, doily, flowers, straw and twine from the JAP kit.

The chipboard word is covered with the washi tape from the JAP kit and the
"Sunshine" is painted with watercolour.

Here is the inspiration board from D'Lish

I would definitely recommend the Just Add Paper kit as they are awesome.

--- Deer & Fawn Guest DT --- Halloween Baskets Part 1

Hello Deer & Fawn Friends

Today's inspiration share is a little different.

We are not huge followers of Halloween but I enjoy giving my boys
fun new things to do.
So while perusing the local discount store I came across some baskets and halloween goodies.
I decided I'd make a small gift basket for them to give them something
new to play with.

I started with some of my boys favorite things:

straws (not sure why), balloons, a few little treats and anything that makes noise -
the pumpkin heads make a horrible noise when you shake them:
which basically means my kids will love them.

I've put the baskets together and have a few finishing touches to make.

So make sure you come back next Wednesday to check out the finished product and
see some pics of my boys enjoying their Halloween Gift Baskets.

Until next time

the challenge is

Yep, the photo could not contain people.
Not quite as easy as first thought!

--- Deer & Fawn Guest DT --- A card using Time Machine from Kaisercraft

Hi Deer & Fawn Fans

Today I'm sharing a card with you that I made recently for my father in laws birthday.

I've used the Kaisercraft Time Machine 6.5x6.5 paper pad and some brown cardstock.

Time Machine 6.5

I'd started this card but felt that it needed something a little more.
Flipping through the paper pad, I noticed a shape that I'd already removed.

I decided I really liked the shape and that I wanted to use it.

So I pulled out a piece of the Time Machine paper

folded it in half (pattern inside) and slipped it under the cutout

Then I traced through it and cut the tracing out.

Then I screwed up the paper, before unrolling and inking.

The final product:

A lovely simple, masculine card that was fairly quick and easy.
Don't forget to use the negatives left when cutting out your paper,
sometimes they really do come in handy!
