--- A2Z Scraplets DT --- Off the Page canvas project

Hi Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing a project for A2Z Scraplets

"It's a wonderful life"

I've used the

I've covered them with Nuvo "Glitter Noir" embossing powder.
So sparkly!!

I'd love to hear your opinion on whether to add a little more mixed media to this piece.
I kind of like it plain but think some gesso and ink splatters with some paste and extra colour, might help give it that little something extra.

Leave me a comment if you'd like to see me "mess" it up a little.

Thanks for visiting.
Happy Scrapping.

--- A2Z Scraplets DT --- Christmas Wall Hanging + process video

Hi Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing a project for A2Z Scraplets

I've created a Christmas wall hanging.
I've also created a process video as part of my
12 Days of Christmas YouTube project.

"Tis the Season"

Here's a close up.

The "Sparkle" chipboard has gone through the minc machine and been treated with gold foil.

The flag banner received a coat of white gesso and gold embossing powder.

A lot of the extras on this canvas came from the Christams decorating section of my local discount store.

I love the way it looks on the wall and the bells jingle which gives this piece an awesome festive feel.

You can find these chipboard pieces in the
A2Z Scraplets Store

If you'd like to see how I created this, please check out the process video:

Thanks for visiting.
Happy Scrapping.

Hi Scrap Friends

The news is out ... I made it to Round 2 of the Bo Bunny Design Team Call.
Yay, Yay, Yay.

Honestly, who doesn't dream of creating for a company that has such a fabulous array
of products? It's the Scrappers ultimate goal - well mine anyway!

Congratulations to my fellow Aussie Amy Little and best of luck to the other 37 Round 2 finalists.

To celebrate, I thought I would share my project submissions.
Enjoy
and as always, comments are welcome!

A mixed media canvas:

An example of my work in mixed media that's never been featured on my blog.
I created this piece for a local art competition to try and bring
mixed media art into the main stream art world.
When creating mixed media pieces I like to make them beautiful and inspiring!

One extra project (because I couldn't decide which ones to submit)

Can't wait to get started on my Round 2 projects.

Thanks for visiting.

D'Lish Scraps April challenge - Mixed Media Canvas "Believe"

Hi Scrap Friends

Welcome to my first blog post of an off the page project.

This month, D'Lish Scraps have a fabulous moodboard.

When I saw this, I knew I wanted to create a canvas.
I adore dream catchers and I knew that I wanted to make my canvas inspired by the dreamcatcher.

The finished project "Believe"

I've also filmed the whole process, so you can check out my process video of how
I completed this piece.
