--- Color, Stories, Inspiration CSI Challenge Blog DT --- September 1st reveal

Today I'm also sharing the new challenge over at
CSI Challenge Blog.

My layout "Wild at Heart"

All you have to do to play along is solve the case.

It might sound hard but it's really quite easy - colours, image inspiration, title, journalling?
Pick one or pick them all and use it as your inspiration to create.

I chose a school inspired page.
Embellishing was easy, I created some frames and then added a calendar, leaves and banner.
I also tried to follow the colour scheme too.

My favourite part of CSI challenges is that they really inspire you to create a Story!

So get out there and tell your story!

--- A2Z Scraplets DT --- "Need for Speed" Step by step scrapbook layout

Today I'm sharing a layout for A2Z Scraplets

My layout "Need for Speed"

I have used the

Need for Speed Chipboard

I grabbed some photos of Master C - riding his bike and then stacking his bike - perfect!

I had the Cocoa Vanilla Studio "Boys Rule" collection on my desk and it was just screaming at me to create with it.

So I grabbed some frames and papers to create a cluster.

I haven't used the washi tape technique for a while, 

So I grabbed a roll and used it to cover the "Speed" word part of the chipboard.

Once I was happy with the layers I wanted to add a little colour.

So I brought out my favourite medium - Distress Crayons.

I used the three colours to add a fireworks pattern  for behind the cluster.

To finish the page, I've simply embellished and added some black splatter.

I love how quick and easy this page was - but with such an interesting result.

It's challenge time over at Scrapbook Boutique.



We'd love to see your creations inspired by our "All White" moodboard -



Here is my layout "Dog Sitting"

The moodboard has a glorious white feel and that dog image grabbed me straight away.

First thing I did was choose a photo - this one was in my stash and I'd not really felt inspired to scrap it. It's one of those ones that is a good story, but not a particularly nice photo.

Next I raided my stash for anything "white".

Starting with the background paper.



I found it difficult to create texture and interest with the white theme so I had to get a little creative about it.

--- A2Z Scraplets DT --- "Fantastic Autumn Day" Scrapbook Layout

Today I'm sharing a layout for A2Z Scraplets

My layout "Fantastic Autumn Day"

In the A2Z Scraplets Store you will find some great "Summer, Autumn, Winter & Spring" titles.

For this page, I've used the Autumn word and decided to make it a real title focus.

I started by cutting the word "Day" with the Silhouette Cameo and then I wanted to raise it up and put some colour behind it.

The Autumn word has two coats of Colour Blast Embossing Powder "Apple of my Eye"

The colour inspiration for this page, came from the photos. Master Z playing in this fun green playground equipment.

I decided to focus on those green colours - I added Colour Blast sprays to the background and then lots of distressed stamping around the edges.

I really like how different this page is to my usual paper style layouts and as a bonus it was really easy and fun to put together.

Today I'm sharing my page for the May challenge at
White ... with 1

It was definitely a challenge for me.
As someone who rarely uses pink, I had to really stretch my creativity with this layout.

"Me"

Don't you just love the pretty inspiration board this month.

I started by collecting some "pink"items from my stash.

I didn't want the layout to be too "pink" so I also chose some neutral whites and silver.

I decided that this was a good time to use a photo of myself.

New Hair = perfect for selfies.

It's hard to see (and photograph) but the background actually features delicious shimmery texture paste.

I also chose a white/silver patterned background for a little extra bling.

 Hi Scrap Friends

Today I've got a layout to share for Scrapbook Boutique 

"Adventure"

This page features the fabulous Pink Paislee Wild Child.



I knew that the colours and patterns of this collection would make a great boys page.

I created the background using Distress Oxide in "Cracked Pistachio" and "Broken China" with the packaging technique and water.

As with most of my pages, I love to journal the story.

This one is quite funny.

We'd recently had some new tyres put on our car, Master C was fascinated by the process and decided he wanted to put new tyres on his truck.

This photo is the result ... 

I just love the feet sticking out the end :)
