Scrap the Girls November sketch challenge - Scrapbook layout using Kaisercraft "Ma Cherie" collection

Hello Scrap Friends

Today I'm pleased to share a layout I created using inspiration from the
Scrap the Girls November sketch.

My Layout "Always in my Heart"

A tribute to a very special friend who passed away suddenly twelve months ago.

Such a pretty and feminine sketch. I really enjoyed this one.

I've used Kaisercraft Ma Cherie collection and Green Tara flowers for this layout.

Thanks for visiting.

Deer & Fawn Designs - September Challenge Scrapbooking Layout

Hello Scrap Friends

Thanks for visiting today.
This layout is inspired by the September challenge set by Deer & Fawn Designs.
I really love their challenges as they are something unusual and it really gets my creativity flowing.
I was also lucky enough to win their August challenge and the prize was so very generous.

Anyway the challenge for September was to scrap monochromatic with Orange!

My layout "Love This"

While scouring the shelves of my local craft store, I came across this awesome orange paper.

I instantly knew what I wanted to do with this layout.

Here are some close ups.

I've used some really cool chipboard and simply painted it with Orange acrylic.

With the modelling paste, I used the Kaisercraft diamond stencil and spread the paste through it. Then I took my spatula and slapped it up and down on the paste (still in the stencil).
It gave this really messy, textured, crinkled look.

Thanks for visiting.

Off the Rails - March mood board & sketch layout "1984"

I have to admit, I'm not a huge fan of vintage layouts, however my Mother-in-law just gave me a bag of photos of my DH from birth to his 21st and it's given me a whole new realm of scrapping.

My local scrapbook store also has a monthly challenge kit and the two worked perfectly together.

My layout "1984"

(Note: The envelope has DH first address on it, which I've covered for privacy reasons)

You can visit Off the Rails Scrapbooking here to check out their fun vintage mood palette.

I used the sketch, took inspiration from the old letters and couldn't go past the brown and cream colours.

Please feel free to leave a comment.

Brown cardstock, Creative Memories (CM) papers, Merci papers, Cricut, Stampin Up Stamp, Paper string, Green Tara flower, Little Birdie flower, leaves, Basic Grey alphabet, Carta Bella "Moments & Memories" sticker sheet

Sassy Scrapper - March Mood Board "Good Times"

I love the colour orange, so as soon as I saw the mood board from Sassy Scrapper I wanted to play.

"Good Times"

I was inspired by the colours but didn't really want to make a pastel layout, so brightened everything up. I used a round base of Gesso like the cake and included the pretty pearl flourish from Green Tara as pearls are often found on a wedding gown.

The photo is a picture of my Mum hanging out with my two year old twin boys (It's almost impossible to get a picture of them both, looking at the camera AND smiling).
I chose black and white so that I could use the more feminine colours of the mood board, but put my boys in it.

Materials:

Creative Memories paper, gesso, Kaisercraft "Hot Pink", Jo Sonja's "Orange", washi tape, Gelatos "Watermelon", paper scraps, Silver Ink, ribbon, Orange cardstock, Little Birdie flower, Green Tara pearl flourish, Flourish with a Bling flower, Kaisercraft flower & diamonte, Kaisercraft "Dream Big" collectable

DLish Scraps - Beachside Bliss - Scrapbooking layout "Campsite View"

Hi fellow scrappers

As soon as I saw the DLish Scraps February Moodboard "Beachside Bliss" I had the perfect photo in mind.

I was immediately inspired by the pearls. I've had some very pretty pearl ribbon at home that I've been wanting to use but hadn't found the right layout.

I started this layout with white cardstock and then chalked the background like a beach, with blue sky, blue ocean and yellow sand.
I then layered some texture paste with a stencil, embellished and spray inked the hole page before adding the photo, pearl ribbon and flower.

Please feel free to leave a comment.

Materials:

White cardstock, Stampin Up Chalks, texture paste, stencil, black pen, Green Tara Pearl spray, Scrap FX chipboard, plasterers tape, gesso, Kaisercraft spray ink, Little Birdie flower, Kaisercraft sticker, pearl ribbon

Scrap the Girls February Scrapbook Layout "Me"

This is my first layout for Scrap the Girls.
I've been hesitant to play previously as I live in a house full of boys!!
Buy hey, I'm a girl so why shouldn't I scrapbook pages of myself.

It was such a pretty mood board this month.

Visit Scrap the Girls here.

My layout was obviously inspired by the colour green but I paired it with some brown. I used a birthday selfie pic as I wore a green dress for my birthday.

My 30th year was a big learning curve and I feel like going into my 31st year that I've learnt so much and that sometimes you have to trust your journey even if you don't understand it - hence the quote :)

Hope you like my layout and please feel free to leave a comment.

Materials:

Green cardstock, Adirondack "Espresso" colour wash, Kaisercraft "Blue Bay" papers, Scrap Matts chipboard border, Green Tara flower, Portacraft embossed stickers, Little Birdie flowers, sequins
