Today I'm sharing a layout for A2Z Scraplets

My layout "You melt my heart"

The inspiration for this page came from the beautiful red sparkly chipboard.
"You melt my heart"

I've treated the chipboard with Colour Blast embossing powder and then created a background filled with reds, black and whites.
I've layered the paper and then added some messy white gesso before curling the edges of the papers and adding some black ink splatters.

I adore this photo of Master Z being so cheeky and playing coy.

Here is my layout "Dog Sitting"

The moodboard has a glorious white feel and that dog image grabbed me straight away.

First thing I did was choose a photo - this one was in my stash and I'd not really felt inspired to scrap it. It's one of those ones that is a good story, but not a particularly nice photo.

Next I raided my stash for anything "white".

Starting with the background paper.



I found it difficult to create texture and interest with the white theme so I had to get a little creative about it.

Scrap the Boys - July Challenge 'Hello" Scrapbook Layout

Today I'm sharing a new page created for
Scrap the Boys July challenge.

"Hello"

I just couldn't go past the star themed inpsiration this month.

I added the stars to the background with Colour Blast paste "Just Blue"

I love the big letter title and just for something a little different I created my cluster on the vertical instead of horizontal.

--- Off the Rails Scrapbooking DT --- July scrapbook Layout + process video

It's July already and what better way to enjoy the start of a new month, than with a moodboard challenge.

I'm sharing my take on the Off the Rails Scrapbooking July moodboard.

My Layout "Making Memories"

This month we'd like you to embrace the cold and let it inspire your creation.

My first inspiration was to find a photo to scrap that really reflected the weather - this one of Master C with his hoody on, in black and white was perfect.

I then created a mixed media background on resist patterned paper to create similar colours to the moodboard.

Finally I've added some very neutral embellishments to keep in theme with the moodboard.

--- Colour Blast DT --- "Watch me Grow" Scrapbook Layout + process video

Today I'm sharing a new project for Colour Blast

"Watch me Grow"

For this page I've used the following

Colour Artist Inks Calypso

Colour Artist Inks Mermaid

Colour Artist Inks Soot

White heavy gesso

Black Heavy Gesso

Firstly I've used a stencil and smoothed some White heavy gesso through it.

I focused on two different areas - the left side and right side and wanted a triangle kind of effect.

I left it to dry naturally overnight - a heat gun works also.

Once it's completely dry, I've dripped some Colour Artist Inks Mermaid and used water to help it move into the gaps  - some I want to soak into the paper and some will sit on the gesso.

Repeat the process with Colour Artist Inks Calypso.

Finally I added a very small amount of Colour Artist Inks Soot and again added some water to help it move.

I love how this background looks! The inks move so nicely around the gesso and are almost like watercolour. 

It's at this point that I wonder what to do next.

I'm looking at the layout thinking about the shapes I've used - hexagons, triangle (square/rectangle photo) - I'm only missing circles.

So I grab some empty toilet rolls and dip them in Black Heavy Gesso

With the little bit of left over Black Heavy Gesso I add some water and using a paint brush, add a couple of splatters around the page.

Finally I've added my photo - with paper cluster and title.

I struggled choosing a title and a position, but in the end, I love how the title suits the photo and has a lovely pop of contrast on the page.

--- CSI Challenge blog --- July 1st scrapbook layout reveal - Case File No. 257

I'm pleased to announce that I've joined the team at CSI Challenge blog

My first reveal is a fun project "Look"

Case File No. 257

My inspiration came firstly from the glasses!

I wanted to create a page all about seeing and the eyes.

I had a look through my stash and found this photo of Master Z who was pretty excited about something (I don't remember what).



I've titled the page "Look".

My other inspiration was
- leaves
- glasses
- black and white pattern
-string

I documented a day at the beach.

I love the striking patterns of this page with the little pops of turquoise.

It was easy to put together and ticks the 2018 box - stash busting!!!

--- White with 1 CT --- "1st Haircut" Scrapbook Layout

Today is one of my fav days of the month.
When you get to see all the new scrapbook challenges.

My first share is for White with 1

"1st Haircut"

This month we have a lovely colour this month.

You can also take inspiration from this sweet moodboard.

I've started with White cardstock background (Of Course!) and created some stripes with Distress Crayon and washi tape.

I then grabbed some stash items and built my page.
These photos I've had printed for awhile, but had not scrapped them.

This page with it's blue inspiration matched the photos so I went with it.

I also had this chippie from A2Z Scraplets and the layout kind of just fell into place.

I always look forward to seeing your creations each month, so I hope you'll have fun with this months colour.
