Scrapbooking Top 50 Aus - March moodboard challenge layout

Hi Scrap Friends

Today's share is a layout for the March challenge at

"Lovely"

Inspiration this month came from this moodboard

I recently went to a weekend crop and this was one of the challenges I completed.

My colouring is a little off as I printed the moodboard to take with me and the turquoise looked more blue.
Thought I would still share it as I love the way the black and white photo pops off the coloured background.

I created it by first giving my papers a coat of clear gesso, then used the packaging technique to apply the blue and then filled in the gaps with yellow distress crayon - freestyled and then smudged with my finger.

Thanks for visiting.

Scrap the Girls March challenge - scrapbook layout "Joy"

Hi Scrap Friends

Today I'm getting a chance to play along with
March challenge.

My layout "Joy"

I normally don't have that many girl photos (being the only female in my family) but this month's challenge was perfect.

My background is made with this Nuvo mousse

It's my new favourite medium, so far I've used it with a clothe, through a stencil, for paint splatters, on foam thickers and on this layout spread freehand with a spatula!
Loving how versatile it is!!!

This layout also features some hand stitching and some cut files.

I seem to be using turquoise or yellow as my go to colours at the moment.
Must try to challenge myself more!
What's your go to colour?

Thanks for visiting.

--- A2Z Scraplets DT --- Off the Page canvas project

Hi Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing a project for A2Z Scraplets

"It's a wonderful life"

I've used the

I've covered them with Nuvo "Glitter Noir" embossing powder.
So sparkly!!

I'd love to hear your opinion on whether to add a little more mixed media to this piece.
I kind of like it plain but think some gesso and ink splatters with some paste and extra colour, might help give it that little something extra.

Leave me a comment if you'd like to see me "mess" it up a little.

Thanks for visiting.
Happy Scrapping.

White with 1 March challenge "Orange Peel"

Hi Scrap Friends

Today's share is a page created for
White with 1

"Hello Tapemeasure"

I tried really hard to match the orange colour in the moodboard.
The layout is closer but was very hard to replicate in the photo.

I've made my background with dylusions and water.
Other elements on the page are from Kaisercraft "Boho Dreams" collection.

Love how this one has turned out.

Thanks for visiting.

--- A2Z Scraplets DT --- "The Perfect Day" Scrapbook Layout

Hi Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing a layout for A2Z Scraplets

My layout "The Perfect Day"

I'd had this photo developed but not yet used it on a page.
Well recently, my printer ran out of ink so I had to use photos from my stash while I waited for new ink to arrive.

This one grabbed my attention and I knew it was time to record the memory.

I've used
Stars and Hearts icons set
and
House set small shape

I've covered everything with gesso and then used Tim Holtz distress crayons and distress ink to colour the pieces.

This layout is very minimalist for me but I wanted to let the photo really shine on the page.
Chipboard elements and a handmade flower finish this simple page.

Thanks for visiting.
Happy Scrapping.
