I absolutely love playing at Scrap Around the World. The mood board is always so inspiring and is so easy to work with. I love checking out what other scrappers around the world are doing and the ways they are inspired.

This month I went outside my comfort zone and played with some modelling paste and paint. I was immediately struck by the vibrant colours of the flowers and decided to use orange as one of my main inspirations. I love the window scene with the pretty lace, so used my Cricut to cut out some cute patterns.
I started with white embossed cardstock and used a Gelato's Double Scoop in Silver Ice over the cardstock.
Then I mixed the modelling paste with Jo Sonja's "Orange" and used a grunge chevron stencil to apply.
The orange was a little too vibrant so I covered with a thin layer of Gesso and proceeded to layer the felt doillies and Cricut cutouts with my flowers, paper, stamping and spray ink.
My final layout:
and a close up of the detail.
